“Spectacular!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2014

Fabulous experience. Brought my daughter up for her 6th birthday, and we were treated like royalty and given the five star treatment during our entire stay. Absolutely beautiful hotel with a fantastic location in the city. We were going to the American Girl store, and the hotel had a wonderful package. The staff is top notch! Can't wait to go back again soon!

The Palace is in a fantastic location. Close enough to some of the major attractions of New York (Time Square, Rockefeller Center, etc) but still far enough away to enjoy to not overwhelm first time visitors. The staff is amazing. We came from another big city and another famous hotel and the Palace staff, by far, blew the other hotel staff out of the water. They treat you like you are family. They even gave my 18 month old daughter a little Palace teddy bear. And all this happened before we even got to our room which was immaculate and large for a NYC hotel room. Beds are super comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, business, families, or just weekend vacationers.

I arrived here as a weary, smelly traveller, after 30 hours of travelling and thought I'd arrived in heaven! Great friendly check in service desk people, king sized luxurious bed, large room (by NYC standards), great view of the city, and the most delicious french patisserie/ cafe downstairs that saved me at 8.30pm with a delicious chicken salad and coffee I could take back to my room, as well as a chocolate and macaroon hamper I needed as a gift. Bathroom could have done with a bit of an update, but overall lovely, oh and spectacular lobby!!

Perfect room for family of four (two double beds). Plenty of space, VERY comfortable beds, clean bathrooms and quiet. Within walking distance of many premier tourist attractions. We had two plumbing issues and both were looked after promptly once reported. The rating could have been five, but we were not able to get the room type we booked in advance. I suppose they overbooked, and because we arrived at 6 p.m., they no longer had any rooms of that class available. The front desk staff offered us several options, and so we took a higher room with a lesser view (actually, no view - construction of adjacent building) at a reduced rate. However, there were excellent black-out blinds and we were hardly in our room other than to sleep, so it didn't make much of a difference.
