“Perfect NY Experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

The New York Palace is the perfect location to start and end the day when touring NYC. The central location is key when exploring multiple areas of Manhattan and is a great home base to reenergize along the way. I thoroughly researched locations and hotels prior to making my selection to ensure an ideal experience. I was extremely satisfied with my choice. Other than location being a top priority, I prefer to stay at upscale hotels but still want to be practical when it comes to price and time actually spent in the room. The New York palace affords both luxury and practicality. I selected the Premier Skyline View Room with two double beds. The rooms at the NY Palace are large in comparison to other NYC hotels and afforded amenities such as robes, slippers and Molton Brown toiletries. Our room (located on the 23rd floor) was clean, bright and overlooked the cathedral. I particularly liked that you were able to open the windows, allowing for peace when needed or for fresh air and to listen to the bustle of the city below. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable and seemed like landing on a cloud after hitting the NYC pavement all day. The fitness room was clean, well equipped and overlooked the cathedral also. Each morning we visited Pomme Palais (café/sandwich shop) to fuel up before heading out. The coffee, pastries and sandwiches were delicious and reasonable. The staff at Pomme Palais were incredibly polite and accommodating. I strongly recommend to start your day with a café au lait, fresh fruit cup and an almond croissant! At the end of each day, which was usually very late at night, I consulted with the concierge to go over my itinerary for the next day. There was always a concierge available, which is not always the case in all hotels. This hotel was exactly what I hoped for to enhance our stay in NYC.

Room Tip: Choose the skyline or cathedral view option at minimum. The higher the floor, the better the view. S...

Thank you Rene for a flawless pre-arrival experience. Your knowledge and graciousness as a concierge were extremely helpful in my visit. I also appreciate your willingness to complete tasks quickly and thoroughly so that I did not worry.

Room Tip: Upgrade to a Towers Suite if you can. They are absolutely fabulous.

I've stayed at many upscale hotels in NYC. None of them compare to the Palace, The services, concierges, dining and the bars are all fabulous. And what a grand location - right on St Patricks Cathedral property. Close to the best shopping. What more can a Queen ask for?!!! They recently went through some huge renovations - so now you get the new rooms - and the Tower rooms and trust me the old ones are not bad - they just little dated - but still spotless clean. I love New York Palace.

Room Tip: this is a very bustling hotel in the lobby.

Took our granddaughter to New York for her 13th birthday and could not have been happier with the New York Palace. Our room was spacious, clean, bright and had a beautiful view. The location was wonderful! The staff was courteous and friendly. The hotel gave our granddaughter a birthday card and gift certificate to Pomme, which made her day! I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again in "a New York minute!"

Room Tip: Room on the 24th floor or higher with a view of St. Patrick's Cathedral.

The New York Palace hotel is located on Madison Avenue between 50th & 51st Streets. We walked to the Ambassador Theater on 49th Street, Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art, Rockefeller Center, etc. There were plenty of restaurants within a couple of blocks. The hotel is roomy and clean. The staff were very friendly. We were able get a conference rate of $249 per night which is hard to beat. It looks like the regular rate runs around $489 per night. As nice as it is, I'm not sure it's worth $500 per night (after you add the taxes). If money is no object...stay here :)

We loved our stay at The NY Palace...a truly lovely hotel unique in Manhattan. Would give a 5 if we had had a Tower room- next time we will! Perfect location midtown, and our room overlooked St Patrick's Cathedral and 5th Avenue. Beautiful! The most amazing service- we had left a piece of luggage at a lower Manhattan hotel where we had been staying for a wedding. Our bellman volunteered to go and get it for us and have it in our room after we returned from our afternoon in the city. Talk about service! We enjoyed the casual Pomme Palais, and the bar as well. The courtyard is set up for summer with outdoor seating areas facing the beautiful open gates onto Madison Ave. Don't see space like this in midtown! Room was lovely, spacious, and bright. Noticed no turndown service, unless you request.

Room Tip: Higher floor, with a view towards 5th Avenue.
