“Great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2012

We stayed at the NY Palace for 2 nights and enjoyed the location and proximity to 5th ave and madison etc. we were provided with a room with stunning views of the cathedral. the room was spacious and well maintained, clean and comfortable beds. Loved the hotel courtyard and interiors. didn;t have a chance to try the in house restaurant but would definately be back next time i am in town. very good service all around.

Room Tip: book a room facing the cathedral.

“Perfect for Thanksgiving weekend”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 1, 2012

Our room was very comfortable. We were able to have rooms nearby to family members. After dinner )off-site) the kids wanted ice cream and even though not on the menu, the staff was able to satisfy their desires. Very accommodating and helpful staff.

“When in NY...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2012

Cannot beat the location, the staff is friendly and quick to respond, the atmosphere is relaxed yet attentive to your needs? Don't eat breakfast there though, NY has too many wonderful places to offer just around the corner.
Highly recommend the NY Palace

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the Cathedral offer quite a view!

“Bad, bad, bad”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 29, 2012

Nothing good about this hotel, maybe just location for those who want midtown.
Very unwelcoming reception. Concierge were unhelpful. Doormen were the worst... they literally pushed my ( hired by myself ) driver and insulted him when he came to pick me up! Shocking!
Room was dated, furnishings old, although they are a nice size and comfortable. Beddings old. and i still am wondering where is turn-down service, if there is any.
I hear that tower rooms are much much better and you are better served too, for those who still would like to go there, I think i'll pass...

Dear dflawless1,

Thank you for sharing your valuable feedback. I'm sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your stay. Our Tower rooms do offer additional amenities such as automatic turndown service.

I am surprised to hear of your interaction with our doormen. This is certainly not the kind of service that we offer nor is it a complaint that I have ever received. I would be interested to speak with you further to discuss the details.

I hope that you allow us the opportunity to welcome you back in the future so that we may provide you with a truly comfortable and enjoyable stay.

“New York Palace Hotel,an excellent hotel in New York”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 29, 2012

To see the famous MACY'S Thanksgiving Day Parade ,to visit Central Park ,Times Square, Empire State Building,Rockefeller Center, Museums ( Metropolitan,Guggenheim, etc) & to take a sightseeing tour by boat on Hudson River I went to New York with my brother. It was a very impressive experience for me in 4 days only. Having the perfect location unfortunately the breakfast at the hotel was not so good. So by the help of the hotel personnel, we have found a perfect place which had a fast & friendly service , called NY Luncheonette located nearby (between Lexington & 3rd Street) The other thing that bothered me was the ongoing construction nearby the Hotel. The tall crane was starting to work in early hours of the morning. People who were planing to stay in that hotel in the coming days, should choose their rooms away from that construction point.
