“Trendy, Bustling Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

A great hotel with very pleasant staff who are so helpful and friendly. The bar staff are really helpful and friendly. The location is excellent just off park ave and 29th street - you can walk everywhere and the bread and butter deli is wonderful beside the hotel. I loved the buzzing atmosphere in the lobby and restaurant and the beds are so comfortable and the pillows fab. There are residents living in the hotel but overall this didn't affect our stay. We had a room on the 12th floor to the side which was great as there was less noise we had been on the 4th floor and asked to be moved which was no problem. Thanks to all the staff for a very enjoyable stay.

Room Tip: A high room to the side is best

Lovely hotel rooms clean and a good size and despite a problem with the room we booked not being available Rachel and John sorted this out to our satisfaction. Lovely location ideally suited for exploring New York. This was our first trip and won't be our last. Renee and Rachel truly made us feel special it was our wedding anniversary and they also left a gift for our daughter in the room when we arrived.

My husband and I stayed here over my birthday for 5 days. The hotel was amazing, excellent location and staff really accommodating. The room was cleaned every day, clean sheets and towels. They even helped us with sorting out transport back to the airport I would definitely recommend this hotel, the staff and Renee the hotel concierge to anyone wanting to stay in New York . Thank You for a great birthday.

I have been at the hotel two nights a week for the past year and find the staff top notch. The night staff has been extremely helpful on several occasions. Special kudos to Shelley, the engineer Dilip and security guard Martin. I continue to use this hotel because of the staff.

Decent location, very clean with great customer service. Rooms yes, are smallish, but they were very clean. Other affordable hotels often have old, giant tvs, dingy "white" sheets, and archaic, inefficient heating/cooling systems. Construction appears to be complete. Despite hype and crowd, restaurant Marta is not that good. Food is pretty bland and service was slow. We grabbed food as we were heading home. In dark jeans and casual coats (we were walking around the city, sight-seeing pre-departure that evening), were seated in the very back and discriminated against. It was not at capacity and we had to flag server to take our order. The better dressed people were seated towards front, which is fine, just don't discriminate when we are paying for the same food.

After a rough start due to a problem with our reservation (our promised room was not available), we came to love this hotel.

The rooms (ours were standard queens) are small, and a little awkwardly shaped, but well appointed, and newly renovated.

I had a nice city view, but being on a lower floor at the front of the hotel, there was quite a lot of noise from a restaurant across the street on a Friday night. The hotel is bustling due to the popular restaurant Marta inside. I highly recommend a visit there, but you will need to reserve well in advance. There is a quiet lobby bar on the mezzanine level for something more peaceful.

The minibar is overpriced, even by minibar standards, so do yourself a favor and head to Essen just around the corner at 27th and Madison to pick up your snacks and sodas.

Lots to recommend about the area - great restaurants very close by. Very close to Madison Square Park and close to the #6 subway line.

I have been in contact with the hotel management over my reservation problem, and they were very prompt, kind, and fair with resolving my concerns.

Overall, a great comfortable stay in a pretty, trendy, boutique hotel.
