“Fantastic hotel in a good location!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 days ago NEW

After lots of research we decided on Hotel Indigo for several reasons and none of them disappointed. Cool, modern, friendly hotel in a great location for exploring NYC as a first time visitor. Rooms are modern, clean, a good size and the hotel has a great boutique style atmosphere. The Stix restaurant serves fab food, yummy cocktails and has friendly staff which gives it a great vibe. The rooftop bar gives great views of the city and again serves fab drinks in a cool environment. (Thanks for the Kuklaki cocktail recipe). You can't beat a bottle of champagne up there, served by a cute bar guy when celebrating Met lots of other friendly guests up there too. Before arrival, I emailed with several requests and the lovely Nicole sorted everything for me, thanks Nicole. Then due to jet lag and possibly the excitement of being in NYC, when I couldn't sleep I went down to the lobby and met Diane on the night shift front desk. Our 3.00am conversations and her great personality was definitely one of the highlights of staying here, hope you got the tip and the chocolate D! Anything you needed or wanted, all staff did everything they could to help. Only one negative was that the shower was not very powerful but I can live with that when being in one of the greatest cities in the world in a hotel I want to go back to. Ideally located for either uptown or downtown and close to subway stations and many attractions. Thanks guys for making my friends 40th and our whole trip a brilliant memory. G x

I don't think my review will be any different from the others. Let me briefly state what this hotel is. It's boutique. It's in a great location. Rooms are small. Beds are good. We were located on the back side so not street facing. Quiet at night. Located near Subway. Starbucks on corner for early coffee. Very easy to take the train from Newark Penn Station and simply walk to hotel. Fair roof top bar with adequate restaurant on ground floor. WIFI not super fast. Very friendly staff. We used this hotel for simplicity and location since we were out exploring NYC day/night. I would definitely consider staying here again. You may be able to find better. Yet you could easily end up somewhere worse!

I stayed here for a couple of nights with my fiancé during a NY stop-over. The staff at the hotel are friendly and were very responsive to any issues. The room itself was okay, with decent beds, but fair outdated amenities. The street facing rooms can be a little noisy, but tolerable enough.

The location is quite good with proximity to Chelsea, clubs and meat packing district. Times Square is a 10-15 minute stroll. Wholefoods is nice and close.

If you are looking for a comfortable, but fairly basic hotel in a good location give this a shot, but with so many options in NY, you can probably do a little better.

Situated in the heart of New York's Garden District, this hotel is a wonderful choice.
Less than a block away from F.I.T., this location is central to many points of interest in Lower Manhattan and a nice stroll to the Chelsea Flea Mkt., Midtown and the High Line. A short, 6 block walk to Herald Square and the Empire State Bldg. and only 14 city blocks to Times Square & Broadway; if a theater trip is planned, this hotel would be my choice as it's close enough yet far enough away from all the crowds and noise. The staff is super cordial and helpful and rooms are stylish and well equipped (though a microwave might be a nice addition to the room's accouterment). There is a rooftop bar that we weren't able to patronize as it closes a bit early by NYC standards. Valet parking is available at an upcharge as is discounted self parking at the same garage - just remember to get your ticket validated.

I was here for a week on business and I found the hotel to be perfectly nice. The rooms are small, but I really appreciated the large bathroom and the wood floors which made it seem clean and nice. Good restaurant and bar downstairs as well. Overall, I solid experience.

I had mis-booked my room and the front desk and manager (both named Nicole) were incredibly helpful in sorting me out when I realized. She was fully accommodating and went out of her way to fix the situation even though it was my error.

Spent a visit there with friends and found it to be very friendly - the desk staff was very grounded and accessible - not uppity at all as you often find at boutique hotels. The rooms were a good size - much larger than the typical NYC hotel room and everything was very clean. The breakfast was delicious - fresh and very creative and not insanely over-priced. All in all this was a really nice experience and we would return.
