“Great Breakfasts”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 14, 2012 via mobile

Ate in Applejack on numerous occasions for breakfast, loved the Eggs Benedict although on 1 occasion the poached egg was slightly overdone for me. Also tried the breakfast omelette which was lovely, the service was attentive without being overbearing, the prices were very reasonable too for a New York diner. Would have loved to have tried it for a main meal but never had the opportunity.
The toilet area was clean and tidy although a little on the small side for a larger person. Loved the signed photos of the famous patrons of this establishment although some were a little dated, this just added to the atmosphere of the place.

“Don't Know Why I Haven't tried Before”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 9, 2012

This was the first time we had ever been to the Applejack Diner, but we went there for two breakfasts and an after concert meal and were completely pleased both times. Not only was the food good, but the prices were quite reasonable, especially for NYC. Expect to spend about $25 to $30 for two (food, tax and 20% tip). Breakfasts were eggs, meat, potatoes, toast, & coffee. The post concert meal was sandwiches. There were more expensive dinners on the menu, but that's all we cared for. In any event, it was a great price. The service was friendly and prompt and the atmosphere was typical diner. Definitely a hidden gem.

“Convenient for Midtown”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2012

My wife and I visited this restaurant for the second time. The first time was by accident. The second time was by choice. We went to a show at the Beacon Theatre, but walked almost 20 blocks just to eat here. It's not the best food I have eaten, but when you want something casual and reasonably priced in Manhattan, this is a good place to start. The menu has something for everyone's tastes.
