Chelsea Pines is a very attractive, comfortable and unique hotel which provided us with friendly, efficient service and warm hospitality along with a charming and comfy room (Anne Francis). We weren't inhibited at all by the location on an upper floor, even without an elevator. Breakfast buffet was wonderful and the young man who was in charge of this (I cannot remember his name, gosh darn) deserves special mention for his friendliness and very obvious pride in his work.
Lots of people have mentioned the owner and I cannot agree with them more - super fun, friendly and attentive!
We loved everything about this location and hotel. Kudos!!!

This was our first stop on our honeymoon. We stayed two nights and they were able to upgrade us for the following two nights at no charge. Good breakfast, clean, quaint, and close to the subway. We saw so much of New York in a short amount of time!

We stayed with my wife for 3 nights and the hotel was excellent. Very well located in the middle of Chelsea (meatpack distric). I will take you only 1h from JFK (Airtrain and subway line E) and it's also really close for all the sightseeing spots of the city (either walking, 35 min to Times Square or metro 10 min) and to battery park for going to liberty island.

Staff was very helpful with everything and really nice. Breakfast is far above the standards of the US.

The rooms are cosy all themed with actors and films and very clean.

Definitely will come back!

Like every year, Chelsea Pines was again my base in NYC. Location, location, location - couldn't be better as you are close to the Village, close to the new Whitney and the High Line Park in Chelsea. The hotel is well served by 8th Ave subway and the cross-town L on 14th st. The breakfast takes you far and the service is impeccable.

Room tip: Remember this is a New York townhouse, so no lift.

We have just returned from our third stay at the CPI and as always it was just perfect.
I will only stay here when visiting and actually check out the room availability before booking flights etc.
The team are great and the beds are the most comfortable we have ever experienced in a hotel or Inn.
It is one of a kind and we love everything about the place.

Location is superb in an exciting vibrant neighbourhood with loads of bars, restaurants and great streets to just walk around and explore.

I could go on and on about the regard in which I hold the hotel and staff but hey just book yourself a room and get over here!!!

Room tip: We had a Superior Deluxe Room (Room 203 - Paul Newman Room) - Brilliant
