“Family stay over in NYC”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2013

Booked one night at the Seton with wife and 2 children 9 and 11 years. Seton was everything we could have hoped for. New York Boutique cool, family room with 2 doubles was spacious and spotlessly clean, staff friendly and loved the free coffee on tap 24/7. Ideal location for shopping on 5th Avenue, Empire state and rest of midtown.

The hotel is small, clean and modern-looking. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Was nice to end our evening here away from the holiday crowds at Times Square , which is 15 minute walk away. We got a great price online.

We have just returned from our first visit to NYC and are already looking to make a return trip. Finding hotels in NYC is a bit of a minefield but we chose the Seton for 6 nights and were very happy we did!

Located close enough to make a pleasant short walk to the sights (but far enough away to be a little quieter) and with Grand Central Terminal on the doorstep if you want to go further afield.

Our room was a Premier Double (with its own bathroom) on the 3rd floor and was very pleasant. It's true that some heat is lost through the window which was a bit draughty, but we never really felt too cold (even though it was -3 and snowing outside some nights!)

The staff were all amazing, but I wanted to make a particular point of mentioning Emanuel who really did gave us the best welcome to a hotel I have ever experienced and then went on to help us make sure we saw all the sights (including marking up a map for us) and being genuinely interested every morning in making sure we got to see the best NYC had to offer.

We are already looking forward to our next trip to the NYC and I will definitely be booking us into the Seton once again.

Stayed here with my wife and son from Friday 6th to Tuesday 11th December.

Very clean, decent rooms and bathrooms and overall good quality. This is isn't 5 star and you can't get breakfast but we got a room for 4 nights for 3 at this time of year for circa £850.00 which is blooming good value in this part of town.

The staff are very friendly and helpful recommending good diners nearby for breakfast. Hotel is a stones throw from Grand Central Station so ideally placed in the centre of Manhatten for all subway links and all the tourist sights.

The beds were comfortable, firm mattresses but not too hard, rooms were warm, had all the facilities you require i.e. hairdryers etc. Rooms were spacious and plenty of wardrobe and draw space for our visit.

So overall, if you want good quality at a fair price bang in the middle of Manhatten - stay here, no problem recommending this hotel.

Lovely, cool little home away from home. What sttod out wa sstaff: Da'ryl, a professional & warm hostess who answered all our questions to ensure a delightful day with great tips. Upon our return every evening was Maurice cleavor, kind and funny demeanor. The hotel was comfortable, qaint and had a nice groove.

I was a little hesitant about booking a room with a bathroom down the hall, but it was not a problem at all. The staff here are all extremely pleasant, the bathrooms are kept spotless and alhough the rooms are on the small size, it was a great place to sleep between adventures in The Big Apple. There are bathrobes and slippers in every room for those trips down the hall, and there's free coffee available (with real half and half) 24 hours.

My wife and I recently stayed at the Seton. It's a good base in Midtown, a short walk to Grand Central and Pershings (amazing breakfast).

Great sized room for all your bags of shopping, nice shower and comfy bed. The only thing we would say is the room was quite cold. We had two windows in the room which let out a lot if heat and only 1 radiator!

Would defo recommend to friends and family!!
