“Very Happy stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2014

Very clean hotel close to everything in NY. Best bang for the buck. Rooms are a little tight but if you plan on being in your room all the time I would try somewhere else. Very comfortable bed and the AC was easy to control. Not much of a view.

This is a gem in Manhattan. The location is awesome. The hotel is clean. The staff are friendly. Start off your day with a nice big breakfast. Wifi is included in the stay. I would highly recommend this location if you are coming to New York for business or family. Location is close to shopping, restaurants, and less than 10 minute walk from Times Square.

This hotel has a great location to everything in NYC! The Empire State Building is just around the corner, walking distance to Time Square, Madison Square Garden, Broadway and so much more! Would recommend this hotel to everyone!

I absolutely loved this location! We stayed here 1 nite on a 3 nite birthday trip! Parking is the worst in NYC, so we decided to switch hotels and move closer to the "hotspots." The room itself was tiny, but we literally only showered n slept in the room, all the rest of the time was spent exploring the city that never sleeps!! They have a arrangement with the parking garage around the corner for $35 a nite, but there's no in and out privileges! Biggest downside to the hotel! As young girls we parked, but needed to drive to queens for a niteclub, after we returned at 5am we realized we'd need to pay again for parking, I spoke to the guy at the front desk who informed me I could park on the street until 6am, I came down at 6am to move the car and I had a parking ticket and a boot on my car that fast!! As for the hotel breakfast was great and free! U can walk to the empire state building, 42nd st, n all the shopping on 34th is directly around the corner! My only major complaint was the no in and out privileges with parking! Because coming down to see that boot was the worst! But now that I kno I will plan everything around the stupid parking garage rates

We stayed here for what was supposed to be 7 nights just before Christmas but ended up staying an extra enforced night when all NYC airports were closed due to the snow. The location of this hotel is great, Macys and the garment district is right on your doorstep, 5th avenue a few steps away and the likes of Times Square, Central Park and Rockafeller Center all within 10 to 15 minutes walk away. Accommodation was nicely presented, had a good range of TV channels and the beds were very comfy. It wasn’t the biggest room in the world for two double beds and four people to sleep in but we managed without issues especially as we were out most of the day anyway. The complimentary breakfast that Hampton include was great, plenty of selection although if you wanted bacon/ sausage this was usually limited to one or the other each day. The make your own waffle machine was a hit with us though, really delicious. There is no bar or restaurant at the hotel, just the breakfast room, but there was 24hr access to tea, a choice of coffees, water and ice which was all free. Overall then; a great location, comfy rooms and a tasty breakfast all at a very reasonable price for central New York.

My first experience with this property is how SUPER CLEAN everything was. Considering how dirty the world of NYC is out on the street and the Harold Square area is a zoo with people all over the place. I had business on 36th street so it was perfect for my one night stay. Quiet room

We have been to New York before so we expected a small compact room but we were very pleased and surprised that the room in the Hampton Inn was very spacious and had lots of cupboard space for our clothing. This is a first; being able to hang both my husband and my own clothes up and have room for more.
