“No Frills With A Dash Of Style”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2013

I think this hotel fits cleanly into a sub-four-star NYC hotel -- clean and comfortable, with everything you need, but nothing more. With that said, I had an enjoyable experience. The room was clean, small, and well-appointed. Everything you would expect from a big name 3-star hotel in NYC - above average in everything except space.

I checked in late, and the front desk was experiencing some difficulties with checking in. This prevented me from getting any SPG benefits. However, the service was very courteous. Plenty of breakfast and food options around the area, even if we only had time to go to IHOP's for breakfast.

The room itself was nice and stylish. AC was loud as other reviews said, but that's a price worth paying for AC in a wall unit. Great lighting, and plenty of pillows. Mad props for the soap and shampoo dispensers in the shower. Showers were strong and towels were of average quality. The view was also quite nice.

Room Tip: Something with a view will make your stay much happier.

Thank you for choosing the Four Points SoHo. We appreciate the comments. I apologize that the AC Unit was noisy. We have our maintenance team researching and trying to find defective units. Please contact me directly if I can further assist.

I have stayed at this hotel many times. It is a clean, honest and simple hotel. The location is very good. I much prefer downtown to mid-town. The staff is always welcoming and friendly. They are keen to suggest nice restaurants in the neighborhood. The rooms are clean, simple but cramped. There is barely enough room to unpack and move around the room. I was reminded of a cruise ship cabin. Bathroom was cramped as well. This is not a luxury hotel. They do give you a free bottle of water. That was nice. Major deficit here is that there are only two elevators for the entire hotel. There is a wait time to get up and down at busy times of day.

This is a nice place to stay if you are of the opinion that you are in NYC to spend time out of the room exploring and experiencing the city. If you want the 'luxury hotel experience', look elsewhere.

Room Tip: SPG property but no SPG lounge.

I thoroughly enjoyed this property. The lobby was small but the king room size was perfect, with the exception of the bathroom. The bathroom nice but the sink area was small and there really wasn't room for my shaving kit, toothpaste, etc. With the exception of the bathroom, the property was perfect. The location was perfect. We were within walking distance of nearly everything including Little Italy, Chinatown, and Greenwich Village. The subway station was less than a block away with Times Square only 4 or 5 subway stops away. When you are tired of walking around the city, the Four Points has an italian restaurant on location with a bar. It was nice and refreshing to relax on the front restaurant patio and enjoy cocktails. We were a little worried about the city noise but found that there was barely any city noise to be heard. We couldn't complain about the value because we stayed free with SPG points! There is no swimming pool or spa but there is a large fitness center downstairs.

High quality for a reasonable price, has large rooms so can get 2 doubles which keeps price down if travelling with family. Only 10 mins walk to Greenwich village centre, so great location. Very modern, clean and comfortable. Don't bother with the restaurant, as loads of choice in local family owned places. Try Trattoria Spaghetto, No 28 pizza, Dennaghy's irish bar.

The four point was one of the numerous hotels I stayed at during my project in New York. Though it's not the most luxurious hotel NYC has ever known, it still was the most memorable one of all. It's located off of broadway in Soho, within a walking distance of most restaurants and cool hangout spots. The staff, especially those at the restaurant/bar, made the stay very agreeable.

I will start with pros -
Good location a couple blocks from bleaker st
Clean rooms
Friendly staff at front desk
Cons -
Very very very noisy room! DO NOT stay in room 201 or any rooms that face the outdoor aircon units it is noisier than an aero plane and after a 12 hr flight not what I needed literally slept one hr that night. Complained to reception at 4am after toilet was blocked and leaking was offered a move but was only there for a night and couldn't be bothered at that time.

Would not stay again because of that experience make sure you ask room no before you book stAy away from 201!

Room Tip: Stay away from 201 or Amy rooms that face outdoor units so loud it is no exaggeration

Thank you for staying with us. I apologize for the noise. The room number that you mentioned faces Charlton Street and can be noisy if traffic is backed up. I apologize for the plumbing incident. Please contact me directly to further discuss.

This Hotel is in Soho. Lots of restaurants and shopping, subway close. Staff was attentive and friendly. We stayed during Christmas and the rates were reasonable. Away from noisy and tourist trap Times Square. But close to all.
