Within easy walking distance of Grand Central, this place was perfect for us. Our room was small but well laid out. I have never had such quiet room in NYC. But the breakfast was the best -- in a beautiful penthouse w a spectacular view of the Empire State Building, with luscious croissants, granola, faje yogurt. In good weather you can eat outside. Midtown isn't the best location for all visits, but it was ideal for us this time and we were delighted w Morgans.

This was our first time in New York we came for the new year. We were so lucky to find this hotel, it was amazing. All of the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms were spotless and the beds were very comfortable (just what you need after walking around NYC all day). Breakfast was basic pastries and the best blueberry muffins!!! Tea and coffee was available all day and the view from the penthouse (where breakfast is served) is fantastic. We were disturbed one night due to people being loud in another room. We informed the staff and this was resolved immediately, we also received a bottle of wine from Morgan's to apologise which was a lovely gesture thank you. The location is fantastic, very central. Overall a fantastic stay I have already recommended this hotel to friend planning a trip to New York for October. We'll definitely be back!

Thank you for your 'fantastic' review! I am sorry however that you were disturbed by other guests. Sometimes visitors to New York get a bit 'happy' during the holidays! We do however follow up and remind them that this is a hotel, not an event venue or a bar. It is very rare however, as most of our guests do their research and understand that Morgans is meant to be an oasis from the city, a place to have some quiet time and relaxation.

Thank you for recommending us. In addition to everything else, your friend will enjoy our new Lounge and gym which are opening soon!

This was out fourth trip to NYC and hands down Morgans wins - previous hotels were Hotel Chandler, Dream, W Times Square.

The biggest thing first up is the amazing service in particular Rob the manager who helped us no end when we first arrived and throughout with restaurant recommendations and bookings. Also Scott who was the best hotel doorman I've ever met - helpful, friendly and genuinely interested in us

We had a slight mix up with rooms upon arriving but were upgraded to a suite for our stay which given it was both out birthdays whilst we were away was an absolutely brilliant treat.

Rooms and a good size with clean modern decor and the bathroom although a little on the small size, was adequate and clean. The bathroom products were high quality and nice to use. Bed was AMAZING didn't want to go back to ours!

The living area in the suite was perfect for us to enjoy our pre birthday festivities with my brother and his wife (also staying at the hotel)

Breakfast was fabulous - best bagels and pastries and free flowing coffee! Also good is that you can get coffee as a takeaway as well and hot drinks are served most of the day upstairs in the penthouse as well. Good playlist going on the iPod was a nice addition. The view from breakfast - wow - let's just say, you know you've arrived in NYC!

Such a good job Morgans - thanks for making out trip special and we hope to return in the future

What a testimonial! Thank you so much. Two birthdays in one week, that is really something to celebrate! How fun. I guess you simply exchange gifts.

Free flowing coffee is very important to me personally - I enjoy a couple of cups in the morning and sometimes need another in the afternoon! As far as the bagels are concerned, I try to stay away from them but they are quite delicious, especially with a 'schmeer' as we 'New Yawkers' like to say.

This hotel customer service is excellent. We stayed 7 nights in a one bedroom room suite, super space, spotless clean, no noise, king size bed great, sofabed very comfortable. Buffet breakfast in the hotel penthouse overlooking New York skyline was superb.( Buffet breakfast was basic, if you want cooked breakfast , then visit a local diner.) Downsides to Hotel, dining room & bar were under renovation when we were there.

Nothing like New York during the Holidays! I do hope you return next year or even sooner. We are about a month away from opening our Lounge and as far as the menu is concerned, I have been to several tastings and it is WOW!!! Amazing items. I do not want to let the cat out of the bag but there is one item on there that I am craving as I write this...

I am sorry you missed it but I do hope you visit again to experience the new Lounge, Guest Living Room and Gym.

We stayed at Morgans for a long weekend in mid-December. It was a great jumping off point for sightseeing in Manhattan - close to so much of what we wanted to see (MoMA, Broadway plays, Times Square, etc.) The staff were fantastic - unfailingly friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable - small but a good size by NY standards. I liked the vibe of the place. We particularly liked the continental breakfast in the two-floor penthouse - it was a great way to start the day, looking out the windows over the cityscape, and enjoying good coffee and a nice croisssant. I'm already planning my trip back next December!

I learned a lot from our Founder, Ian Schrager. One of those things was that we must offer a great cup of coffee and an excellent croissant, and that is something we adhere to nearly 30 years after Morgans opened!

We stayed at Morgans for 6 nights. We were upgraded to a one-bed room suite as we have the VIP pass from expedia (when rooms available). We were cautioned by the friendly receptionist (Nicole) that, at least for the first night, it may be noisy as it was on lower floor. We appreciate the upfront honesty, and the hotel was happy to move us when other suite becomes available, which it did as the room was indeed prone to noise. The rooms are more comfortable and modern. The location is pretty good, especially when we stayed it wasn't too cold everywhere in midtown was a pleasant stroll. Everyone was friendly and helpful: those at the front door, reception and penthouse (complementary breakfast). I want to particular pay compliments to all the guys who helped us with the baggages for moving rooms, and departure (we needed a cab with a bigger trunk space, as well as a last minute detour before going to JFK). The personnels at Morgans have great attitude and made us feel very welcomed. We enjoyed our stay there, and certainly would recommend them. The hotel is also going through some work (restaurant, gym amongst others), I am sure it will be much better when all works are done.

Room Tip: They have some construction/refurbishment works going on. So try to avoid the lower floors if possib...

Well, the good news is that the work is nearly completed - new Lounge, new gym, new guest Living Room! And one more thing - we are installing new windows which will make the rooms in the front soundproof so even if you are staying on a lower floor, you will not be disturbed!

From check-in through the stay at the hotel, I found the customer service excellent. It is a beautiful setting, the rooms are appointed very lovely and very clean, and the whole hotel just is very much a place that you want to walk around in and see all of the art work. The person at the Desk was more than accommodating and this kind of service continued with everyone who worked at the hotel. It obviously is in a great place to walk around, whether sight seeing, shopping, or eating at a variety of restaurants.
