All things stated in reviews are true. A wonderful, friendly hotel. The breakfast offered in Rick's Cafe are excellent, wine & cheese in the afternoon great. Only thing that was off, was the very sad occurrence, when I lost, misplaced, my beautiful wedding/engagement ring in our room or it fell in the hall, elevator. We searched the room, hall, elevator to no avail. We informed the staff, and they said they looked, but, it is gone. I had this beautiful ring for 56 years. We were celebrati wing our wedding anniversary. And our grandaughter's graduation from med school, and her internship at Mt. Sinai. Maybe one day it will turn up?

i have stayed at several different hotels in NYC but i would have to say this is my favorite.
Close to everything, the staff was amazing. i would ask for a room away from the street.

The hotel and the staff are amazing, we loved our room, the service, the food and of course the city. The service was wonderful; everyone was very friendly and made us feel part of their family. We’ll definitely go back not just because of NYC but also because of Casablanca. We’d recommend to everyone, and you will not find another hotel with a friendly staff, great location and a good price in NYC.

Love you guys, we’ll see you next year :]

It's tough to find an all around good hotel in NYC without paying an arm and a leg. Enter Casablanca. What a find. The hotel is small. Service is excellent. Our room was great. King bed and very clean bathroom with tub/shower. Breakfast and evening wines/appetizers are a bargain. We'll be back.

One of the KH hotels and therefore service as usual: extended continental breakfast with fresh fruit. Wine and cheese reception late afternoon. Tea, coffee, biscuits and fruit 24/7. All prepared in the extremly cosy "Ricks Cafe".
Rooms not very large but larger than NYC average, very clean, renovated bathroom. Very quiet, although only one block from Times Square.
Staff friendly and helpful. A bit pricy in December but worth the money anyway.

Just come back from a girls trip to NY - my first visit. We stayed at the Casablanca. On arrival its seems small and nothing to write home about. Even going to the room it was OK but nothing special. I could not have been more wrong. What a lovely hotel, warm, friendly and almost felt like staying with friends. The location is great. The staff cold not do more for you(thanks to you all). The rooms are comfortable and clean. A complimentary breakfast is laid on and also evening drinks and nibbles. The lounge is 24/7 with coffee, hot chocolate and snacks available. I woke one night and did not feel out of place going down in my PJ's and sitting in the lounge with a book and hot choc. The hotel was full but the right size so,did not feel cramped or overwhelming.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone, old, young, families. I will be returning to NY as I loved it.......the Casablance is where I will be staying.

Having read all the good reviews, I booked us for one night's stay. We were meeting friends from Europe for the day and evening. My wife was skeptical, as she likes Waldorf Astoria style accommodations. She was pleasantly surprised by the hotel, staff, room and even the breakfast. She remarked the room was as big as standard rooms at the Waldorf. And the location is tops. We will be back.
