“Great place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2014

Sixty LES is just as awesome as it was when it was the Thompson LES. The staff are incredibly nice and the rooms are clean and comfy. The pool, although small, is a great refuge in the heart of the lower east side. I highly recommend staying here when you're in the city and don't want to deal with the mayhem of midtown.

We stayed at the Sixty lee Hotel, in New York. I really did like the location, in the middle of a very laid-back hood. It is super close from the Williamsburg Bridge to reach Brooklyn and its surroundings. The problem is that the hotel management team has accepted to hold several private events during the week-end which let us with no access to the pool, no access to the rooftop terrace. They offered us a suite, but still, with 35 degrees outside, we pick this hotel for the pool and terrace. So I would call the hotel prior to your stay to validate the availability of the amenities.

Dear TheWolfepack7676,

Thank you so much for your feedback on Trip Advisor. We regret that you could not access several features of the hotel during your stay. Travelers often have a limited time when visiting NYC and we understand your disappointment that spaces were not available during the only time you had to enjoy. We will certainly work harder to ensure that several venues are not closed at once. We hope that you will give us another chance to welcome you back to Sixty LES.
Kind Regards,
Tania Getzova

Great location if you want to be in Lower East Side -close to great nightlife. I was disappointed when I walked in around 12:45 am and there was not a doorman or security in sight. Got in an elevator with another guest but could have been anyone wandering in off the street, so made me somewhat insecure.
My first night woken up by guests in the hallway about 4:00 am. Our room was close to the elevator so I would suggest getting a room on the end of the hall -may help with the noise.
Beds are hard, European style-would prefer upgraded sheets and pillows.

Hotel has a cool vibe and awesome bar for great people watching.

I needed a place at the last minute and found LES thru jetsetter with the great rate for the city. The room on the 17th floor was a bit small but worked fine for my stay though would have been tight for 2 people especially if you plan to spend any time in the room. Staff was great. Every time I came and went I was personally greeted. Location was good. They were also able to park my car and even at $55 a day it was very convenient. Wish the bar 'above allen' was open during the week.

The hotel made my daughter's wedding celebration even better! Our family had 20 rooms with our guests staying 60 nights. The staff was vey accommodating, they happily distributed our welcome baskets, early check in when available, held luggage........ just any request was met. Everyone from the bellmen, to the pool staff to the front desk was helpful and pleasant. We had the rehearsal dinner at the Blue Ribbon Beer Garden and a family breakfast at the hotel restaurant and everything was perfect. Our guests loved the location......it is young, hip and happening. The experience was fun and positive and I highly recommend staying at Sixty Les!!!!

My wife and I stayed at Sixty LES last week and had an awesome time! The staff was very helpful providing information about the hotel and places to go in the area and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We watched the fireworks from the 7th floor patio and had a great view....one of the best Fourth of July Celebrations in a long time! The room was very clean and we had a nice lounge area where we had another couple over to share some Champagne:-) The next day we relaxed by the pool and were blessed with a beautiful sunny day. I want to say thank you to the entire staff for taking such good care of us and providing a perfect getaway.

Room Tip: We had a Studio room which was plenty quiet when we went to sleep. There was some sun coming in aro...

Nice size room for NY city. Nice pool area. Good service and stylish public spaces. Crowd was mainly 20-30 somethings, didn't see many families. Hotel doesn't have parking, but there are some good facilities nearby. The breakfast and room service offerings were excellent.
