“Pretty Good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

My stay at the Warwick NYC was pretty good. I have to say I expected better though. There were no robes/slippers in the room as promised and it smelled like cigarette smoke. The room was clean and pretty big. The shower leaked constantly. It was a million degrees in the hallway ( I noticed this because the front desk wrote a room number on my key for a room that didnt exist, and I was walking around with my luggage for 20 mins). It was clean and nice but I expected more.I would probably go somewhere else.

Room on 6 th floor was quiet and really nice. It's an easy walk to the shows on Broadway, Carnegie Hall, Radio City, and countless great restaurants. The lobby area is small, and you do have to pay extra for Internet in your room. But for a classy stay in the center of Midtown, this place is hard to beat for the price. Definitely will stay here again!!!

Room Tip: Ask for something quiet.

We spent last week in this hotel during the hurricane and had a fantastic experience. I have never stayed in this hotel chain before and I must say I was very impressed with the quality of service. We basically had to eat in the hotel for two days as the city was shut down. Some of the staff worked straight for three days; the management put them up in guest rooms since they couldn't return home. Through it all, each staff person was friendly and helpful. I heard that some other hotels did not do as well and could not accomodate their guests. Bravo, Bravo, Bravo to the Warwick.

Room Tip: We stayed high up in the 04 stack and faced a brick wall, I could have cared less. It was quiet and...

We were looking for a (n affordable) hotel in Midtown Manhattan, somewhere between Empire State Bldg. and Central Park. The Warwick New York is in an ideal location just opposite the new MoMA, off 6th Avenue and about 2 blocks from Central Park, which means you can walk to pretty much all the major Midtown attractions. There are subway stations either towards Central Park or the almost equally close Rockefeller Center

The hotel is a typical elegant city hotel, the staff are friendly and helpful and the room we had (standard) was big and cozy. The beds (boxspring) were very comfortable and the yes, we had a great view of the very close dark brick wall of the neighboring building that some others wrote about, too, but our room was not dark once we switched the light on, so we didn´t mind. We couldn´t be bothered to spend close to 30 bucks per person to have breakfast and opted for Starbucks (there are several shops - also very nice, as they offer free Wifi - because the hotel charges big time!)

So, if you can get a good deal, this hotel is certainly a good option for a city break in the city that never sleeps (though it was very quiet in the hotel!).

Our stay at the warwick was fantastic. We had a very fun and enjoyable holiday. The kids activity staff were fantastic especially Zac and Ck. The chef making eggs at breakfast was just amazing as was Nazir Ali the chef on Asian night ... The best chicken stir fry ever , my 9 year old daughter had 3 serves. Evi the pool bar barman was also great. After 2 weeks the kids didnt want to go home they were sad to say goodbye to Zac and CK. we hope to be back in the near future

My husband and I were in NYC for three nights and decided on the Warwick given its location and rate. We were originally assigned a room in the 05 line and it was AWFUL. The room is smallest in the floor plan and is without a doubt the worst hotel room I've ever stayed in in the city. I've stayed in plenty of small hotel rooms (e.g. Hudson Hotel), but the sheer age of the room and its decor was enough to completely send me over the edge. The icing on the cake was the massive blood stain that was not-so-astutely concealed by an oddly-positioned chair by the bedside. Fortunately, we were able to upgrade to the executive suite next door which offered us a truly comfortable experience. All in all, management was accommodating and courteous regarding our concerns and we're grateful we were able to salvage the rest of our stay.

Room Tip: Avoid the 05 room line at all costs.

We stayed there for 6 nights at the end of September beginning of October and loved the hotel. Great location, large comfortable room, prompt housekeeping. The negative comments about elevators in other reviews were not warranted. We would definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: Ask for a deluxe room.
