“ALWAYS FRIENDLY ASSISTANCE FROM THE STAFF”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2012

Excellent position , close to Central Park , in front of MOMA . I received a room in higher floors and it was comfortable and silent. Friendly and kind assistance from the staff for each problem or information we need . Only positive returns. No problem with extra charges and quick check out without problems.

Room Tip: Higher floors are more silent respect the way traffic.

Room wasn't ready when we arrived (1 1/2 hours early) and they were very slow in getting it ready finally giving us a different room, The room was spacious and a corner unit on the 31st floor w/ a great view.Unfortunately the bed was a disaster

Nice historic hotel. We like to stay at the historic hotels when possible because of the "character" of these properties. The Warwick does not dissapoint. Our king room was large enough. Bathrooms are small but still with enough room (this is New York you know). Nicely appointed rooms. Comfortable beds!! Nice location. We enjoyed.

Room Tip: If you want a view, you must pay the higher price.

Enjoyed a great trip to NYC with two friends. The Warwick is an older hotel but is clean, spacious with great beds. Very quiet too.
For transportation, the NY water taxi is a great way to get out to Statue. If you take the hop on and hop off buses, you go out on Staten Island ferry and lineups can be very long.
If you're going to Empire State bdlg, go first thing in the morning bc lineups are unbelievably long as the day goes on. Also, the 9/11 Museum isn't technically open until next month but can t see that it will be bc it appears behind schedule. You go to Memorial Museum (still in an adjacent building) and with the $15 entry you get a free pas to the Reflecti Pools which have a timed entry. Again, lineups can be long, but they generally move pretty fast.
Hop on, hop off buses great.value for $. With freestyle you get 3day ride pass plus 3 attractions or food opportunities. We used them all and they really work slick.
One feels very safe in Manhattan. Personally I like staying downtown manhattan. Some people say you should stay in Queens or Brooklyn and take subway or Amtrak over. I would never do that bc I'd prefer to spend the extra $ to be right near Broadway. Shows are great.

Room Tip: pretty good location, on 54th and 6th avenue. About 5 blocks from times square. Great beds, very s...

Second stay here and will stay again. First time family trip and the pre booked 2 bedded room not available but we were accommodated with a good sized corner room with king and roll away for child. This stay was solo business trip and prebooked king unavailable so I end up in the 2 bedded double??? O well. Rooms are good sized for NYC and given age of building and its history each is a bit different in layout. I find the rooms quiet, this last stay room was directly across from elevator and considered switching fearing constant noises but did not. Was not disturbed at all. Breakfast very good but pricy, first stay was included in rate so we enjoyed it. This last stay I opted for evening room service which was, as expected pricy but delivered quickly and hot! Easy walk to central park, times square, Madison shopping areas etc.

Room Tip: Not all rooms have bathtubs and some bathrooms are very small.

The warwick is an old time traditional new york city hotel. it is totally updated with traditional decor, nice furnishings, great AC and very friendly staff all around. the food is very good. i recommend breakfast room service. like all hotels the food is a little pricey but i like to splurge on breakfast room service now and then. All in all i would come back here. you can walk everywhere from here or hop on the subway. my stay was very pleasant. the only down side...no free wifi in your room. other than this....very nice. They upgraded my room when i showed up early to check in because my room wasnt ready yet. The best part....right across the street from MOMA!!!

Room Tip: i got a premier room...it was in the bright but not too sunny corner overlooking moma. another big...
