Stayed for one night last week in a 12th floor suite.

Not great: Due to low ceilings, the first impression is that the room seemed very small. Also, the room was dark, even with all the lights on. The carpet, furniture, paint, etc. was tired and worn.
Bathroom is small (one person at a time please!). One of the elevators was broken, so wait times were long. I didn't appreciate the Penthouse magazine (I'm not sure if it was left behind or put there on purpose); please just stick with Timeout magazine.

Not horrible: I had a great meal via room service. Was met at the entrance by a bellman who helped me with my bag. Desk staff was friendly. The bed was very comfortable (although it is only a double...I cannot imagine two adults sleeping comfortably in it). Molton Brown bath products. Location is great.

I would not recommend this hotel, unless the location is absolutely perfect for you or you get a great price.

Since we could not find any other hotels available this past Marathon behind , we ended up at the Time. The Location is great; right BEHIND the Crowne Plaza in the center of midtown. We just wished we could have stayed at the Crowne Plaza as they probably have elevators that work and bellboys that are available. This is not the case at the Time. It seems they have 1 elevator down for a while and the other is hit or miss. After an all day hike through Manhatten, we had to hike up 12 flights of stairs to make it to our room at 11:30 on Saturday night. Not fun!! The room was small but adequate and the lobby is loud.

Overall, the hotel was OK but I would never stay there or recommend it to anyone.

If you want to stay in the heart of Times Square, across a Broadway play Theater, near to subway, restaurants, taxis and much more...stay at The Times NY.

We had an absolutely magnificent time at The Times. Planned 5 nights in hotel stay, stayed for 7.

Staff was cortiuos, rooms clean and serviced soon after we would leave for sight seeing in the city early in the morning.

But best of all, near to everything. My kids loved the look and theme of the hotel.

Thanks for a wonderful time and experience at your hotel. Would go again and again.

We did indeed have an excellent "time at the
Time". Went to nyc to get married. Family travelled with us. All stayed at the time. We stayed 15 nights. Was like a home from home. Staff all so friendly and obliging.
Concierge, (jay) bell porters and doormen
Especially. Beds at the hotel are so comfortable. I have never slept so soundly whilst on holiday.

Location also excellent. Right at the heart of Times Square.
We will not forget our stay at the time and the staff who made us feel so special.
We will be back.

The Time, an antichrist version of the beautiful, trendy W Hotels

The TIME Hotel's website was slick and stylish, like a better version of the W Hotel chain. We were impressed with the central Time Square location and our being able to nab a $180 per night rate. When we arrived in our room we were shocked to look out our window at a solid brick wall within touching distance of a dank and dark alley. When we complained to the front desk, we were offered a room for $200 that looked out onto a noisy side street, but had some light. We immediately noticed that our tiny yet trendy, stylish room was worn and dirty all over, but the rest of the areas hotels were full for the Tony Awards and we prebooked our room for a week. Each day we left a nice tip for the maid in hopes that she would make an extra effort to clean our room. No such luck. We even noticed a used length of dental floss in the hallway and laughed each day we saw it. The only cleaning the maid did was the removal of our daily $$$ tip on our pillow for her. The used floss was how we based the daily progress of the hotel cleaniness. Not well indeed. We finally got tired of our shabby digs and tried to talk to a hotel manager who was always in a meeting, although the hotel is tiny.
We did finally get the last night comped by the manager, and the "upgrade" charge removed per night. A fair compensation for a disappointing week at the Time Hotel.
