“Great price, great location.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 days ago NEW via mobile

The hotel is very easy to find. Coming from the airport you can take the AirTrain then the E subway to Times Square. We arrived to find some sparkling wine and a lovely little card from the hotel congratulating us on our recent news.

Rooms were excellent, great decor. Staff tried their upmost to assist guest. You can see at times that they are extremely busy. They worked very hard and were always buzzing about assisting customers.

Two little issues (don't let this deter you). We did not have any maid service during our stay as there was confusion over the button system for requesting to not be disturbed. The maid insisted that ours was on 'do not disturb' all the time. I showed her on the last day that this was not the case, but it was too little too late.

We missed our allocated ticket time for the top of the rock due to waiting to speak to be conceirge. This issue could have been avoided had the conceirge carried out our request of leaving our package in the room. She initially insisted there was none and when the staff member at the luggage area went to look he was rudely told to get out of the way (he was the loveliest man ever. Loved put morning chats with him). I would like to single him out for praise (can't remember his name). He assisted us with our luggage tags etc. he is a credit to the hotel.

Bottom line, we will definitely be back and we would definitely stay at this hotel again as its hard to get this kind of overall service at any reasonable price in NY.

We chose the Time based on its central location to the Theater District and attractive price point. Accomplished both objectives and staff was very helpful, but be prepared for lots of deferred maintenance and VERY small room dimensions. Make sure you're getting a price that fully justifies the challenges!

The location in Times Square was amazingly close to theater, shopping, and crazy-fun Times Square.
The room was good size for NYC, clean, but worn. The mattress was wonderful for sleeping, zzzz

We were surprised that we had to pay for free wireless in our room-this was NOT good.

The lobby/lounge was dark, dusty, and needed to be deeply cleaned. Even the walls had chinks and nicks-the outlet where I plugged in my computer fell out of the wall when I went to remove the plug. (that cannot be good)

Room Tip: ask for a room that overlooks the street or is high up. Ours was on the second floor and we felt clo...

Dear Pinkglow7,

In the heart of Times Square, it's hard to get a great night's sleep - but we're thrilled to hear that you enjoyed both our central location, and our comfortable beds! I have passed along your comments regarding the lounge to our housekeeping team. We sincerely appreciate the feedback, and are actively taking steps to improve this area of our property.

We would love to have the opportunity to welcome you back. Please contact me directly for any future reservations, as I would love to make sure that you receive a high floor, and that you are well taken care of.

Warmest Regards,

I stayed at the Time for 2 nights, got upgraded to a suite so I was very happy with my stay. Room was big and clean. The interior is a bit old, I would appreciate a newer bathroom but there was nothing to complain of in the present one besides it feeling a bit old. TV channels was a mystery though, succeeded to find out how to change channels after a few tries :)

All in all a good hotel for a decent price in an excellent location.

Where do I begin? First of all when we got to NYC, the parking garage for this hotel was full so we had to find another one two blocks away, which meant we had to carry our luggage through the busy New York streets.
Then we waited 1/2 hour to check in because they only had 1 person working the desk and we could barely hear because the bar is right next to reception with no separation between the two and the music was so loud!
Then we got to our room which was pretty gross...the carpet was worn and stained, the shower had black mold, the thermostat did not work (could only turn on the air not heat), I questioned how much cleaning the maids actually do, and the wifi is not free (they charge over $10 for 24hrs)!
The first night there we did not get in until late and we slept fine but the second night we stayed we wanted to get to sleep early so we could get up early and enjoy our last day in the city, but we could not sleep because our room was directly above the bar & the music was so loud we could hear every word the DJ said. We went downstairs around 1am and spoke to one of the security guard/bouncers at the door of the bar and asked him to have them turn it down. Nothing happened. So, at about 2 am we called the front desk and complained to them about the volume of the music and again they did nothing! We were finally able to fall asleep at around 3am, which was due to exhaustion and not the fact that the music stopped or was turned down.
When we went to check out the next day we asked to speak to the Manager, we explained that we did not think we should have to pay for our 2nd night due to the fact that we could not sleep because of their bar and the music. She told us to leave our phone number and email and that the general manager would contact us about a refund once she came in. It has been two days and we still have not heard from anyone at this hotel! The one and only good thing about this hotel is location but that is not even worth it! We will never recommend or stay at this hotel ever again! This made our first visit to New York a very disappointing one!
If you chose to stay here...GOOD LUCK. Just make sure you bring flip flops for the shower, slippers to walk on the carpet, and earplugs if you are on the 3rd floor (directly above the 2nd floor where the bar is located). The pictures on these sites are nothing like how the hotel actually looks, don't be deceived! Anyone who responds with good comments about this hotel other than location is lying and probably works for the hotel!

Room Tip: Don't stay here if you don't have to but if you do...don't get a room anywhere near the...

Great location just of Times Square and broadway. Off the Main Street which is ideal with a boutique feel. Rooms a little dated now and could do with a freshen up. Good service and helpful staff. Room was cleaned regularly. Ask for a high level room.
