I been in NYC many times, and never stayed at this Hotel... My Father in law recommend me this Hotel and was the Best Recommendation ever!!! The rooms are Great Size, the quality of everything inside the room its SUPERB, there is details in every inch of the Room... All the Staff since you walk inn call you by your last name and you just arrive!!! How they do it??? In the Bathroom there is a HOT towel rack, so you always have Hot towels, the pressure of the shower its unbelievable!!! The bedding, the turn around service at nights... the TV system its Bang & Olufsen so you can experience a super high quality room in the BEST location of Madison and the 77th St. They offer free transportation to many places nearby and also they offer you Free bicycles for your use!!! This is going to be my Hotel Every time when i came to NYC!!!
Room Service comes form the restaurant of Jean George from downstairs witch its GREAT!!!

My husband and I visited for one night for a "staycation" without our young child just before valentine's day. The location is wonderful and very convenient, and while our room was nice, there wasn't anything particularly unique about it. (The bathroom was great however!) We had a room overlooking the back of the hotel, but there wasn't anything special about our stay - no one asked if we needed anything, on our way in our out, maybe I noticed this more because we just wanted to relax in the room as opposed to exploring Manhattan, but...I'd say it was fine, great location, but I'll try somewhere else next time.

Thank you for taking the time to share your family’s experience at The Mark. I am pleased that you found our location to be so wonderful, however I am a bit surprised to learn that you felt our staff did not go the extra mile to make you feel at home, and for this I deeply apologize. Feedback such as this is not taken lightly and this missed opportunity to give you an unforgettable experience is something we could never abide by. I do hope that we will have the pleasure of welcoming you back again so that we can exceed your expectations on every level. If there is anything else we can do to assist in your returning stay, please do not hesitate to ask.

Upon arrival, you are definitely going to feel VIP. Staff is very kind and helpful. Beautiful decor. We stayed on 5th floor facing Madison Avenue. Beautiful rooms, however, the windows lack any noise blockage. We heard EVERYTHING from the 5th floor. Other than that ONE negative, Central Park half a block away, great shopping near by, overall, great location. Definitely a place to stay at if you want to feel like a celebrity and maybe even meet one. Complimentary Umbrellas were nice to have on the rainy days. Wifi is free, but limited gigs. You can always purchase additional wifi if needed.

Room Tip: Rooms facing Madison are noisier

As a surprise 40th birthday for my wife, we flew First to JFK and had an outstanding week in Manhattan, underpinned by the extraordinary service, quality and comfort of The Mark. The hotel is superbly positioned and is an oasis from the challenges and delights of NYC.

Without a doubt, if you want to nudge with the rich & famous, just come here, especially during big events like the Met Gala and Fashion Week.

But what I like about this place is that the atmosphere actually matches it's clientele - luxurious. It's surprisingly a hard thing to find in NYC of all places.

From the moment you step out of the cab the staff of The Mark make you feel like a VIP. No detail was forgotten. The suite we reserved was huge and we were welcomed with a lovely note, champagne and chocolate covered strawberries! The bed was extremely comfortable and the bath, spacious luxury! Exquisite flowers were not only in the entrance lobby but in our room as well.We both love The Mark!!!

I've stayed here many times, since 2011. Definitely recommend it. Price is quite high, but if you want an elegant, intimate, real NYC experience, this is the place to stay. I love it's location and service. Fantastic boutique hotel on the upper east!
