For old and young alike. I have been here a dozen times or so. Sometimes with friends, sometimes with family and each time has been a different experience.

So much to see, so much to do.

Heck, I was there with a brother in-law a few months before 911, and got to see and walk around the Twin Towers. We also got to watch a car jacking while resting. A very nice Rolls Royce, is now in someone else's hands, or at least was for a short period of time.

I've been there several times for MacWorld, a car show or 2. We've gone down to visit the Food Network home and shops. I went there for a meeting with Avon, which was a real hoot.

If you like shopping and / or window shopping - of the high end side, this is just perfect. Cool stores, service most of the time excellent, but attentive staff. (but why do ambercrombie and fitch need to perfume their store soooo much...)

Fifth avenue is a great street to just walk the length of. But make sure that you take your walking shoes it is a LONG walk. It will take you through the diversity of New York City and if you are game can have you venue the entire length of Manhattan island with both its shopping, its amazing apartments, museums and then up to the top end into the Spanish harlem areas, which you need to discover.

It's Fifth Avenue, one of the greatest streets to shop in the world. Every store/brand you've ever wanted to shop has a huge store here.
