“The absolute best”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 23, 2013

Don't miss this amazing collection. It is small and intimate but comprises many great works. If you choose to use the audio guide, you will find that almost every work has an audio explication. It is, without a doubt, my personal favorite gallery.

“Spectacular”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 23, 2013

This is a place to visit more than once. The library is impressive. The collection of art, paintings, oriental rugs, porcelains are amazing
It needs more than one visit to absorb so much. The courtyard is so relaxing! Everything is fantastic. If you didn't see it yet ...go! You'll love it.

“Self-perpetuating fame”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2013

Two Rembrandts, two Tizians, two Vermeers are perhaps worth a visit by themselves, but for me the main interest lied in seeing how the Frick family actually lived in this luxurious villa at the edge of Central Park, so in a way I found the Fragonard Room more convincing and immersive than the famed paintings. In many ways the Frick villa reminds me of the Isabella Stewart Gardner's "house" in Boston. On the other hand, way overpriced: for a $18 entrance fee, they could at least change the wall carpeting in the West Gallery which are scandalously dirty and worn out.

“Impeccable!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2013

This home and collection could definitely make a girl fantasize about having Mr. Frick as a sugar daddy ! The mansion has been created and built with no detail left to chance. This discernment can also be said of Mr. Frick's impeccable collection of art. Definitely worth the time to put this on top of your list!

“Wonderful art experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2013

This is a hidden gem. Small art museum, very easy to walk around and enjoy and incredible art collection. I have visited MoMa and Metropolitan Art Museum and get overwhelmed with the size and scope. This museum is so relaxing and easy.
