The content of these buildings, and the buildings themselves, are certainly worth the trip. The collection includes early Bibles, rare manuscripts from the likes of Austen, Dickens and Johnson and early Mesopotamian clay seals. Morgan's study and library are impressive, if a little overwhelming. But three things stopped me from rating it higher. Firstly, it is a little overpriced at $15. Secondly, there seemed to be a rather precious attitude on the part of the staff which could make some visitors uncomfortable. Thirdly, and this is probably just me, the whole place is a monument to one mans acquisitiveness and, given that Morgan is not exactly an uncontroversial figure, some analysis of the pros and cons of his life would not go astray.
