“Amazing; very informative audio tour is worth the extra $7.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2013 via mobile

If you wished you could walk through 400 years of medieval history, this is the place. Try to go early in the morning so you can visit the Met Art Museum on the same day, thereby spreading your $25 ticket over the two museums. I highly recommend the audio tour.

“A Must-visit if you have time”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2013

I came here before I moved to NYC, and it is one of my favorite spots. It takes a while to get there by train, but the minute you enter, you feel like you are in Europe. The walls and the stunning landscaping transport you somewhere else in time. If you are an artist or a writer, bring the sketch pad or notebook, get a coffee, and perch yourself outside because the muse will certainly visit you here.

“You save the cost of airfare to Europe”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 22, 2013

This is one of my favorite types of architecture but I can only find it in Europe. Or so I thought until I visited the cloisters. Here is a consolidated walk-able collection that is easy to enjoy. And, you don't need to travel from isolated building to isolated building in a European countryside. it's a subway's ride away from NYC. With just a few bucks you have a mini European architecture vacation. This is a must-see for tourists and New Yorkers.

Whenever I visit nyc I will always make a trip to the cloisters. So breathtaking to find this kind of sanctuary in nyc. Nice to get peace from the hustle of the city. absolutely gorgeous!

“Nice trip”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2013 via mobile

I attended the cloisters yesterday and enjoyed my time. I would definitely take up the "suggested" donation fee as I don't feel there is enough there to justify $25- mind you I attended on a day after quite a bit of snow; I imagine in good weather it would be fun to get out and explore a little more

Definitely take the subway as far as you can- I sat on the bus for about 90 minutes each way from midtown manhattan
