Great Location near cheap gift stalls and markets, lots of oriental restaurants, there's a 7/11 just off Grand Street which is good for snacks, coffee, alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. Easy Access to Manhattan using either Grand Street, Bowery or Canal Street subway stations all within walking distance to the hotel. The rooms are very clean and smelt fresh and the beds are comfortable, and spacious. The Service was spot on from the moment we arrived and throughout our stay. The staff we came into contact with seemed very professional and would like to thank Duty Manager Melissa, for her organisation, helpfulness and friendly approach, Christina for her warm welcome to breakfast every morning and keeping the breakfast table topped up!! and Hugh for help with dealing with all our queries.
The only downfall was the scheduled roadwork's, which kept us up, but the night staff were happy to accommodate and move us to a quieter room which was good.

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a quality hotel at a low price New York.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel, it was a great location for me because it was close to some art stuff I wanted to do, china town was great and even though it is busy it was fun, the subway is close too, very convenient, the hotel breakfast was very good, the price was great, the rooms are clean and the staff are friendly. The Internet was bad in the mornings, and I had one cold shower? That was strange! But if you want to stay out of the fast pace and tourist traps of time square, this is the place to go!

We stood there almost three nights. We expirienced a very good accomodation, quite, clean.
They gave us a really good feeling for beeing welcome.
There is just one point to critizise. We are already in the year 2013. It is extremly oldfashioned to offer the guests for breakfast plastic-fork, spoon and knife and eat from one-way-plates and cups.
This causes to much trash and may harm the environment.
Be more concerned for nature issues, please!

P.S.: Livia, one female front officer, has done a big job for our vacation-plannings. Good ideas and very helpful to plan our daily NYC-trips.
Thanks!

The staff was great and friendly. The parking was pricy and so are the soda cans $2.50 a can , but besides that we had a great time housekeeping was great and its a very clean hotel I would defenetly recommend others to stay here we're coming bk for sure....thank you

Room Tip: The top floor is great ;-)

We chose this hotel because it was only about 1/2 mile from our son's apartment in the East Village and it was on sale through Kayak.com We had a room on the 9th floor and it was very quiet--no street noise at night, some during the day when there was a parade for the Chinese New Year. The breakfast was surprisingly good: waffles, bagels, muffins, oatmeal, sausage, eggs, toast, yogurt, fruit, etc. A lot of the guests seemed to be visitors from abroad. That and the location in Chinatown gave the hotel an international flavor that we enjoyed. Yes, there were the smells of fish and other foods being sold on the street, but we would take this location over Times Square any day. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is safe.

Room Tip: Higher floors are probably the most quiet.
