“Love the food, but worth the wait?”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2014

I used to work in the neighborhood and went back on Friday to take away some lunch. Placed my order and waited almost 30 minutes for it to be prepared. Not a winning customer service strategy. Need to do better.

“Get a Salad, too!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2014

Stumbled across this one on a search for Indian food & although it's not a full service sit down restaurant, it was a great less expensive counter order quick place that I love to find. The flavors were great & seemed very fresh & healthy.
We tried the Unda, chicken tikka and lamb rolls - all very flavorful. Also tried a small salad - think it has 12 organic ingredients (veggies, nuts, fruits) & it was super fresh with a yogurt dressing- way better than the usual side salad with 1 or 2 toppings. I highly recommend getting one to go with your roll.

“Unexpectedly delicious”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2013

This place was very near our hotel so we decided to stop in for an inexpensive lunch and it was a chance to try something new. We figured we'd go in, check out the menu and if nothing jumped out at us, we would just go down the block to a traditional Indian restaurant. This place is sheer genius. We ended up eating here twice during our 3 day visit to the city!

By far the two best rolls were the shrimp one and the lamb one. The beef was good too, but those first two were the best. One of the guys working there was kind enough to entertain us with his stories of working in the restaurant business for many, many years.

We even took a couple of rolls back to our room to have as a late night snack once we returned from a night out on the town.

They are cheap and delicious.

“Must have Late Night food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 24, 2013

Kati rolls are Indian street food that has come to New York. This a unique blend of spices, vegetables, and choice of meet or vegetarian options rolled in an authentic indian flat bread. My favorite on the menu is the Chicken Tikka roll.

I highly recommend the midtown location as it is bigger and there is more space to sit than the McDougall street location.

People usually come here late at night when they are going home from the clubs and bars and it actually gets really busy between the hours of 12Am and 3AM and you may find yourself waiting in line.

if you want to avoid the rush, my suggestion would be to head there right before dinner time as you will get served.

“Best Kati rolls. Period. ”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 6, 2013

Excellent operation and cheap food. We look forward to a visit here on every trip to the city. Only complaint would be lack of seating. No real ambiance but who cares - as long as the food is cheap and amazing. Definitely a repeat.
