“Huge!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 6, 2013

Central Park is huge, and as such has many many things to see and do. There are a number of food vendors around, try the hot nuts, you won't be disappointed. It was winter during my visit and so we went ice skating, it was quite busy and expensive. Apparently there is a free skating rink at the north end of the park but we didn't venture up there. If you really want to see the whole park, either allocate a whole day for walking or hire bicycles because it is truly immense.

“Heavenly!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 6, 2013

Just loved strolling around Central Park. We grabbed a coffee and cupcakes in Crumbs and sat by the frozen lake to eat them. Lovely place to stroll around and people watch and dog watch! Plenty of joggers out running, tourists, locals walking their dogs, horses leisurely ferrying tourists about etc.

There was also a bride and groom having their wedding photos taken...lovely atmosphere on a cold but sunny February morning.

The New York Skyline looks wonderful from the serenity and green-ness of the park.

“I could stay there forever”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 6, 2013

Save some time to have a long and relaxing stroll in Central Park while in NY, even in the freezing cold weather. Leafless trees, foggy atmosphere... Sounds spooky but it is simply amazing. Great spots to take pictures: bridges, lakes, benches. We took a 25 min walk from the west side (MNH) across the park til the east side (MET). Stopped for lunch at the margins of a lake, a restaurant called The Boathouse- worth it for the view, not really the food (pricy too).

“A great retreat”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 6, 2013

After a few days of the hstle and bustle of New York, the park is a welcome retreat! it is rather large but you really don't realise how far your walking as it is so lovely. Lots to see, great for people watching and spotting your favourate movie locations.
