“It may take a few days”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2013

What can be said about one of the world's finest museums? Just don't expect to see it all in one day. There are fine exhibits from all over the modern and ancient world. The impressionists are very well represented. A bit light on American 20th century regional art.
See your favorite period first as you will quickly discover that the museum is huge and that you can get weary trying to fit in too much in a single visit.

“A lot more that I expected”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2013

This was great, a lot to see for whatever likes you may have in art. I highly recommend this visit. This place is huge, so take a lot of time if you're visiting.

“If you like the British Museum, you'll love this place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2013

Awesome place with lots of things to see. Did not realise that there was an Egyptian temple there either. We spent two hours and it was not enough! If you are into the British Museum then you should check this place out. Allow at least half a day to wonder around.

“Thanks to staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2013 via mobile

Just have to say that the guards and info staff went out of their way to be helpful. Everyone gave clear directions and offered tips. The museum is amazing of course, but the staff is world class too.

“Best Art Museum in the World”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2013

OK, maybe a little over the top, but it's certainly my favorite so far. The breadth and depth of its exhibits dwarf those of any other museum I've been to - and I've visited the Louvre, the Uffizi, the Palazzo Pitti, the Kunsthistorisches Museum (but be sure to visit that if you're in Vienna; it's magnificent). Like other reviewers have noted, wear comfortable shoes and make sure you spend plenty of time here - even nonlovers of fine art would be hard-pressed to be here less than a half day. The Bellows exhibit is terrific, thanks largely to the loan of some fine pieces from the Columbus Museum of Art in Bellows's home town.
