“Good place for ramen”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2014

I was quite excited to try the famous ramen at Momofuku but I must say it was not the best I've ever had. Don't get me wrong. The ramen was good and it was reasonably priced but I expected better. Nevertheless, it was still a very good meal.

“Disappointed”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2014

We had read great reviews about this place but it did not deliver.
The place is very busy and noisy. We were sitted at a table with already 3 persons who turned out to be very nice.
We had the pork buns and the mushroom buns . They were delicious especially the mushroom ones.
But then we had the noodles with ginger and the spicy noodles. Both were really oily and not at all flavorful.
We would not return to this restaurant.

“Awesome Noddles”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2014 via mobile

Visited Momofuku noodle bar on Friday evening, It was packed and there were at least 20 to 25 people ahead of me. The wait wasnt too long. The Sausage bun is pretty good. The square sausage was season nicely and the mustard was a nice compliment, adding a bit of hot sauce made it taste really good.

Order also the signature momofuku ramen which came with pork belly, pork shoulder, poached egg, pickled cabbage, japanese fish cakes and 2 pieces of seaweed. The broth at first taste was surprisingly unfamiliar as compared to the traditional ramen that I have had. It was smoky! Taste really good and I think this is probably what the japanese would call unami (pleasant savory taste) but the smokiness was really nice.

The pork shoulder was nice, abet a bit too little. It doesnt taste like any of the traditional char siew that ramen are associated with, rather, there was some similarity with bbq pull pork. Nice touch.

Desert was the peanut butter with strawberry sweet cracker soft serve. Creamy and light and the peanut butter fragrances linger in the mouth after the ice cream has melted. The strawberry sweet cracker looked like they were freeze dried and was a tat sour. Not a compliant, rather it was a nice match with the peanut butter.

The front of house team worked hard to contain the crowded restaurant and they were efficient in keeping everyone happy. Good set of crew. Will visit again.

First time for me after hearing raves. Nothing special.
Pretty good price performer, tho the glasses of wine were quite expensive for small pours.

The meal, the desserts and the service were all outstanding. The ambiance, energy and vibe is excellent. The fried chicken - amazing. Worth a visit...
