I've lived in New Mexico for 4 months now and this is the worst restaurant I've been to. First, it came on recommendation from our hotel (Fairfield Marriott) staff. That should have been our first clue to steer clear, but we were thinking locals should know.
When we got to the restaurant it was packed. We thought this was a good sign. What it was a sign of was the speed of the kitchen, we ended up waiting well over an hour for our food- 2 chile relleno plates and a kids cheese nachos.
My son said, "my water tastes weird". So I took a sip and it tasted like chlorine. I was also drinking water but mine was ok for some reason. So I ordered another water. Same chlorine taste.
Then my son said " I have to use the toilet." I saw a scared look in my husband's eyes as he said "are you sure?" As if they might uncover too much information. And yes, the bathroom was dirty.
When the food finally came, my son's nachos were covered in some processed cheese like velveeta. He didn't eat them. Why that took over an hour, one can only guess. The chile relleno plates were just marginal.
Also the place was really loud. I read a review that said the restaurant was hot inside. Lucky for us on this July day, we got a downpour and it was cool outside.
I'll say that the waitress was slammed and did the best she could (my opinion). Not her fault the water tasted like chlorine, the kitchen was slow and the ingredients were substandard.
Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.
