Several of us stopped at the Castlerock Coffee & Candy restaurant after I noticed it was #1 of 15 restaurants in Torrey. Everything we ordered was hot, fresh and home-made. Four of us ordered the reuben sandwich which was delicious. Kim put the sandwiches together in no time at all. Two other individuals ordered the chicken pasta salad with veggies and remarked that it was fresh and delicious. They had homemade brownies but many of us are diabetics so we didn't try them. We spoke to Scott who stated he was the owner's son and Kim his assistant. We were never rushed and had an opportunity to sit back and relax and enjoy the lunch. The reubens were $8.25 and huge. I don't know the price of the pasta because it was a special and off the menu, but it was very reasonable. Their desserts were displayed and they all looked delicious. Candy of all kinds were in a case and the muffins, brownies, etc. were advertised as made daily. It sure looked it. Try this wonderful place. Help the mom and pop restaurants. We will definitely be back.
