“Yum!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2014

We were looking for a new, local place to try out on vacation and we saw the Hungry Pelican and decided to give it a whirl. In a word, delicious! I had a chipotle chicken on ciabatta, my husband had "angry bird", and our son had a turkey sandwich. Our food came quickly and was fresh and tasty. We also shared a bowl of tomato soup which was quite good! The view was also beautiful. We will definitely be back!

“Fun sandwich shop with a great view! And ice cream!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2013

Stopped in here on a Sunday afternoon just before they closed,.and glad we did! Husband had the gourmet grilled cheese that was divine, very cheesy and basil on it,.really sticky sandwich to eat and definitely dinner licking good. I had the Hawaiian ham and cheese with pineapple and spicy mustard in it, a terrific combination, very tasty. We enjoyed looking at the wall decorated with menus from restaurants all over the country. So in the bathroom to see the gallery of Jimmy Buffet album covers decorating the walls. The view of Manteo harbor is lovely and relaxing. Highly recommended.

“Good sandwiches,nice water view,fair prices”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2013

I had a Reuben & my wife had a BBQ chicken sandwich. Both with chips and I had a diet Pepsi, all for less than $20---not bad for a resort area. We both took 1/2 of our sandwich home for later. Good food and good value. Worth climbing a few steps, and walking a little way for a good deal. Will return when I'm in the area.

“Great find!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2013

After visiting the Aquarium, we were hungry. We chose this restaurant solely from choosing the best-sounding name off of our GPS, and we were not disappointed. It was a little difficult to find at first, but we liked it so much we made the one-hour trek from our rental house to eat their a second time that week!
