Stopped at the Marconi Beach restaurant with 10 hungry people after a day of whale watching in Provincetown. We didn't know a thing about the restaurant but saw the barbeque sign and saw the smoker smoking away at 8:30 p.m. and knew that the place had to be good. We were not disappointed!! Everyone of us had a delicious meal served by a very friendly waitress. The ribs were outstanding. The fall off the bone ribs had a great bark with a nice sauce that was tangy and a bit sweet. Three others had pulled pork or pulled chicken sandwiches that had just the right amount of sauce and were served on a nice, hearty buns. One of the teenagers had the barbeque mac and cheese and said that it was great. It must be true since he ate every single bite of the large portion.
Toward the end of our meal the owner, Russ, stopped by our table to ask how everything tasted. He was so friendly, talked to us for a while, and even sent over some fried chicken for the kids who have stomach that are like bottomless pits.
I would highly recommend The Marconi Beach Restaurant. Great barbeque in a casual atmoshere. Prices were very resonable considering each meal came with baked beans, cole slaw, and cornbread.
