“Love Oysters? You will love the Bookstore!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2012

Let me count the ways to enjoy oysters: raw, fried, poor boy sandwiches, oyster stew -- the list goes on and on. Wellfleet oysters have a well-deserved reputation as among the most succulent on the planet and this little "no-frills" spot serves them up to hundreds of happy customers every day! Be sure to try the oyster stew -- it is as good or better than any you would get in a 5-star restaurant! If someone in your party isn't crazy about oysters (what a shame!), don't worry, they have lots of other seafood choices!

“One of our Cape favorites!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2012

We enjoyed lunch there yesterday...we've been here many times over the years. My husband loves the oysters and I love the lobster salad (both are pricey). Guinness on tap is also a real plus. When the weather allows we enjoy sitting outside, upstairs with the water views of Cape Cod Bay. OK service, simple food in a very casual setting with local atmosphere.

“Great scallops!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2012

Right down on the bay this place doesn't look impressive on the outside but it had friendly service and good food inside. We were directed to the bar to await our table ( only 4-5 minutes) and had just finished studying the list of beers and wines when they called our name. The scallops were delicious! texture like velvet - sweet and soft. Oyster stew was yummy too! ( and gluton free)

“Consistently a good restaurant!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012

I have never been disappointed with the Bookstore. Every meal I've ever had (and I've been going there for over 20 years) has been great. This time, I had their clam-strip special. The strips and fries were not greasy (good oil and done properly). When the weather is nice, it is great to eat outside. Inside is nice too. Try to save room for their key lime pie. Enjoy!

“Tasty seafood”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2012

On an overcast Sunday we had a late lunch on the second story deck. Loved my scallops! My sister enjoyed her fish tacos. Everyone seemed satisfied. Wellfleet is charming as you get hear the waterfront area.
