“Best bread and croissants.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2014

Always a line, but worth the wait. Varieties of croissants, crispy and delicious. Prices are reasonable and seating inside and out. Nice coffee too.

Janice, it is such a reward to hear that the line was worth the wait, and we hope you didn't have to wait TOO long! We understand how those summertime crowds could be discouraging -- but they do usually move quickly! Thanks so much for taking the time to write this nice review. We hope to see you again soon.

“Good croissants, coffee not so good”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2014

Had breakfast here 2 mornings, croissants and pain au chocolat were good. Latte the first time was good the 2nd day I couldn't drink as the milk tasted off!

We know just how disappointing a sub-par latte can be, and for this we sincerely apologize. While it thrills us to know that you had breakfast here with us twice, we hate to know that you received a beverage deemed undrinkable during one of these experiences. If you plan to return, please let us know! For the time being, we thank you sincerely for your review and are happy that you enjoyed your croissants.

“Great for a quick bite to eat”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2014

We stopped in on bikes (2 adults, 2 small kids). We ordered coffee, pastries, a cookie, and pizza. We all tasted the pizza & liked it. It wasn't the gooey cheese style which was ok with us (easier for little kids to eat this way). Pastries & cookie yummy. The regular coffee was okay, nothing special. It would have been nice to have great coffee paired with great pastries. We sat in the covered outdoor area. There were high chairs available. Water was left out so we could refill ourselves (and we were thirsty after biking). Bathroom clean but small. The only way to change a diaper in there was to have your small child stand up. We will definitely return when back in town.

Thank you for your review! We love that you got to try a few different treats from the bakery and how the whole family was able to sample them together. The pizza is a staff favorite! We will certainly take your opinion of the coffee into consideration. Regarding the bathrooms, we admit, two of them are small, but we do have a spacious third option complete with a full baby-changing station! We hope you'll be back before your little one outgrows it.

“Visit France while at on the Cape.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2014

The boulangerie was recommended to us with the warning that we'd have to get there early or there would be a line around the door. Well, we got there at 2 and there was a line out the door. I am so happy we waited.

We were traveling and picked up a Parisienne sandwich, which was as good as any I've had anywhere. The pastries were buttery, flaky, and sinfully good.

The highlight, though, was the berry tart. The shortbread-like tart was butter and not too sweet, the cream was not skimpy, but not so thick that it overwhelmed the the fruit. It was simply gorgeous. It looked like something a photo stylist would have put together for a slick, foodie magazine. Each raspberry, blackberry and blueberry were so perfectly placed, I'm sure they used tiny tweezers to apply them. A joy to see and an even bigger joy to eat ("Oh, no! I dropped a raspberry!" cried Hubs.

The server at the counter was just so sweet and helpful. She chatted and answered questions and didn't rush anyone just because the line was out the door.

Thank you for this lovely review, Mary! We loved reading about your experience and will be sure to let our Pastry Chef Danielle know how you enjoyed your berry tart. We're lucky to have such a great bakery staff, too! We hope you'll come back to try our other sandwiches and goodies!
