“beauty as far as the eye can see”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2012

Love this place and go every year without fail. Yes it costs $5 to get in....but it's worth every penny and then some. The money goes to the audobon society which preserves the trails in this amazing place. There's trails that take you into the woods, pond area, marshes, etc. All VERY WELL maintained and marked....and ALL surrounded by beauty. There's also lots of birds/animals you may see on your walks...i've been lucky enough to see turtles, frogs, horseshoe crabs, squiggly crabs, geese, deer, etc. If you love nature and enjoy walking, i highly suggest this place!

“Beautiful Trails”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2012

The Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary is a perfect place to spend a few hours walking the trails to view Cape Cod's natural beauty. The Wildlife Sanctuary is run by Mass Audubon and has over 5 miles of trails. My husband and I did the popular Goose Pond trail with the boardwalk extension out to the bay to view a salt marsh and the ocean. The tranquility and beauty of the scenery should not be missed. There was a nature guide booklet for the trail and we learned about the birds, wildlife, and plants of Cape Cod as we hiked. The nature center has interesting displays and a gift shop with many nature and birding books. The Wildlife Sanctuary also offers programs and trips for individuals and families. What an incredible resource for individuals of all ages to enjoy and We will definitely go back next summer to explore more trails.

“Terns, green herons, and piping plovers”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2012

This is a national treasure and an enduring place to return to again and again. The main building is wonderful, including a wildflower garden and then out branches multiple hiking trails, including the boardwalk trail that, depending on the tides and season, offers ever changing landscapes, seascapes and bird sighting opportunities. The staff and volunteers and more than happy to set up a scope and allow closer views of their avian visitors.

“Lovely Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2012

A lovely setting and walk just off the traffic on Route 6. More people should take advantage of the many trails and nature areas on the outer cape. These aeas never seem to be crowded but they all, and especially this one, have a lot to offer. Very good for families or anyone seeking a change of pace during a busy vacation.
