Ugh! I knew the rates were 43 bucks for a reason. Where do I begin? The chain on the front door obviously had been popped off as if the door had been kicked in at one time. The rooms smelled like smoke despite them being "smoke-free". There were cigarette burns all over the night stands and counter top. There were even burns in the sink. There was this brown mystery stain on the bottom of the window curtain. There were other nasty brown stains on the peeling wallpaper. The bathroom floor tile was cracked all over and the tub had rust stains in near the drain. The bathroom doorway had greasy grime on it. I could not even take comfort in the fact that it was a cheap place to crash. It was too nasty. Don't go there. Choose another place - please

  • Liked — The staff at the front desk were friendly.
  • Disliked — The burns on the nightstand and sink, stains on curtain and walls

Okay, we read the reviews, but took the chance anyhow. The price was right at $55+tax/night. I'm not sure how or why someone staying a couple of nights later could be charged $98.

The property is run-down and in need of major renovation . (We never figured out why most people were staying in the north building & if it was any better than the south. We were almost the only ones in the south building.) The hallways and staircases are just icky. The room isn't as bad as the hallways. There were dead bugs, but we experienced bugs at the Best Western in Titusville a couple of years ago. The king size mattress is floppy and uncomfortable in the middle, the a/c noisy, the balcony tiny and dirty. There was no wireless as advised. Actually they have wireless, but it's password protected and the front desk didn't know it for us to access. The is no dock or lounge as advertised.

But there was pluses: The shower worked great! We had a coffeemaker at no extra cost. They were busy tidying up the grounds; the pool was really nice and clean. The best attribute is the view! Awesome if there's a launch or not. The manatees do hang out right by the building. Skimmers and terns are nesting on the roof. Once I cleaned off the paitio furniture myself it was a great place to gaze off into the distance and relax!

Don't pay more than it's worth...it really depends on your comfort level, but sadly most of the motels in Titusville are not far from the same state as the Riverside Inn.

A mistake from the start. We checked in to see the shuttle launch. The room and facilities are in dire need of renovation. The only nice point was the pool. The air conditioning in the room was very noisy and was changed out. The room had dead bugs laying around on the balcony outside and on the air conditioning unit inside. The toilet was not sealed around the bottom and moved when used. Later in the evening, when we turned down the air conditioning a little it quit again and would not re-start. We called the front desk and were told maintenance was gone and they had no more rooms to move us to. There were also others having the same issue. Then they called us back and offered to move us to another room that someone else had just left (supposedly they didn't use anything?????). At this point we checked out and drove home (enough is enough), asking for a refund. We were back to our own bed after midnight!!!The WORST place I have stayed in years and the cost $98. DONT GO THERE!!! Not even as a last resort, as we did!

After reading previous reviews I was hestitant but wanted the view to watch the elipse. The view was great, the manatees in the river were an added bonus. The room was generous size, clean, no bugs noted, mattress adequate, furniture so-so but generally run-down. I spoke to the hotel, requested a refrigerator (for which I understood I would pay an additional charge) via telephone and on the reservation form but it was not in our room when we checked in.
Unless you wanted the view I'd check for other reasonable priced accomodations.

  • Liked — first floor room, walked out on grass, able to watch elipse accross river from Kennedy
  • Disliked — worn accomodations, incomplete repairs, mold starting to grow in bathroom

What a dump ! Only two good things were the view across the water and the fact that there was a herd of Manatee right outside our room. Otherwise dirty, smelly, damp and run-down. Find somewhere else, please !

  • Liked — There were Manatee outside
