“An ok stay but bitten by red ants in bed.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2012

Stayed at this hotel for one night after visit to Kennedy Visitor Center. Hotel was very conveniently located a few minutes drive from the visitor centre.

Checking was fine and rollaway bed was provided as requested. As we were all very tired we decided to eat in the hotel restaurant. This was very good value as they have a kids eat free deal. Service in restaurant was very good, friendly and attentive. The food was, I would say only so so. I suspect it was heated up in microwaves. That said, it was inexpensive so I cannot complain.

The main problem we had with the hotel was that when my wife put on her trousers in the morning she was bitten several times by red ants. On closer inspection these were crawling all over the chair by the bed where she had put her clothes and were all over her clothes. Then we noticed that they were on the bed as well and I subsequently realised i had been bitten several times. I was surprised because we were on the fourth floor.

We reported this as we checked out and the reception lady said thanks for telling her and she would have someone look at it. We had the impression it was a problem they knew about.

All in all it would have been a good stay but for the ants.

No real problems with the hotel, good position for the Space centre, clean and in good condition, all the expected facilities.
We did encounter a night receptionist who noisily chewed gum whilst dealing with our query but was helpful enough. We were disappointed with our evening meal in Babas. The service was cheery and efficient but the food was tasteless, the salad was limp and very small portions compared to the USA standard. We would have done much better in the Cracker Barrel a short walk away.

Very modern and updated (perhaps brand new?). Friendly staff. Great crash pad for touring the launch pad at KSC.
Pool was great. Bar and restaurant were great. One suggestion would be to, one way or another, slip a free breakfast into the room rate. This seems to be industry standard now and would e appreciated as much as the free WIFI on site.

Very attractive newer property just off I-95. However, my experience was far less than pleasant. First of all, sleep is not restful considering the high room temperature. Could not get the AC to cool the room. Upon complaining to front desk staff, I was told that the units are set to bottom out at 69 degrees F. Like sleeping in a sauna. Secondly, water pressure is very low, making an adequate shower difficult at best. Third, bed sheets were paper thin. Finally, TV channel selection is limited, lacking popular offerings such as the History Channel, National Geographic Channel.

Room Tip: Avoid this property altogether.

We are sorry for the inconvience you may have encountered at our hotel. Our hotel participates in an Enviromental Sustainability, progam. The insert you received at check in explains how you as our guest, and the hotel can help our environment. Part of that program is making sure the thermostat controls not go lower than 69 degrees. We do offer our guests 40 channels including the NFL network also 3 HBO channels. Our front desk is staffed 24 hours a day and we would have been more than happy to have done anything possible to make your stay a pleasant one. Our hotel has received many awards and we are proud of what we have accomplished in guest service, hotel cleanliness and providing our guests with exceptional experiences.

Our swim team stayed at this property for a meet in August 2012. The staff was very accommodating. As we swim on Sunday – we need a late check out for the team to shower and change before heading home. We were given a late check out with no hassle. I worked with Diane in the Sales Department upon making our reservations. She was very kind and gave us breakfast with our room fee. The breakfast was wonderful – not continental but full buffet hot options. We were very pleased with the selections. The rooms were very comfortable, spacious and clean. There is no doubt I would stay here again either for just a visit or another swim team event.

Recently spent 3 nights in Titusville, FL at the Holiday Inn Titusville Kennedy Space Center. The location is great. The rooms were very clean, quiet, comfortable and affordable. My sister and I needed assistance from the staff on finding local locations and they couldn't have been more helpful.

Although this hotel does not offer breakfast there is a Waffle House and Cracker Barrel right next door.

In August we travelled as a family to various places in the US, including a planned visit to the Kennedy Space Centre in Florida. When deciding where to stay we wanted something affordable not too far away from the Kennedy Space Centre to make it early to the centre. Titusville is one of the best locations for this and the Holiday Inn turned out to be the best choice in terms of value for money.

Our family of four, two kids age 3.5 and 5, stayed for two nights and really did enjoy this hotel. Apart from an air conditioning unit that could have been a bit quieter everything else was just as required and made our visit to the Kennedy Space Centre a very enjoyable experience. The rooms were clean and spacious enough for us four with two queen size beds. Service was excellent and we really appreciated that there weren't any paper plates and foam cups for breakfast, but rather some REAL plates and cups. Breakfast selection was good and we had one dinner, which we believe was good value and tasted very nice.

We also enjoyed using the pool with the kids one morning before heading off to our next destination. I only regret that I couldn't try the fitness centre, but we did use the Internet, which was fast and convenient for planning the continuation of our trip.

Service from check-in to check-out was good and especially the staff for breakfast and dinner was very good.

As far as location is concerned the hotel is conveniently located and it takes only about a 20min. drive to get from the hotel to the Kennedy Space Centre, which allows to be there early.

All in all we can recommend this place a 100% to everyone that is planning to visit the Space Centre and/or needs to stay for business or leisure in the area.

Room Tip: Don't think it makes any difference which room, unless you want towards pool side or not.
