“Great Food For a Group, Including Non-Sushi Eaters”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2013

A group of about 15 went to Nobu for dinner. The restaurant was full and very busy (loud). The food was fresh and served family style. We ordered several dishes to sample and by the end of the meal everyone was full. They had a wide variety of dishes to try; some non-sushi eaters were converted and for those who are not regular sushi eaters (me included) there were several things to try and enjoy. Start with the warm Edamame...

For anyone that loves seafood, this place is a must. Lots of unique, tasty dishes. A little pricey but it's worth the trip!

“Not up to Nobu's high standards”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2013

The service and presentations fell well short of Nobu's traditionally high standards. Even though we were first seated at 5.30pm with 8 adults, drinks took 10 minutes after ordering and refills took the same amount of time. Two food orders were forgotten and some we're served to the wrong people. The standard of food was high like other Nobu's but the presentations were poor compared to other Nobu's. Service charge of 18% was added despite poor service.
Restaurant was also very noisy. It was very disappointing as my expectations were high.

“Excellant sushi chef”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013

I gave Chef Jun Agishi $150 and tell him to do any dishes he like. What a night! He fed me very well, from crab leg, sea urchin, tender steak, to at least five unusual, not your typical daily sushi dishes. This chef is very creative, courteous and very artistic about his work.He paid attention in very tiny details and was proud of his work. Many ingredients he use were unusual and I can see that if one does not understand Japanese or Chinese cooking may not appreciate the complex flavor and presentation of the dishes this restaurant offer. It is waste chefs' talent if you just order tuna and salmon sushi without trying any of the signature dishes. Restaurant was noisy and crowed with people in bar section.
