This beach front hotel was a great buy. Awesome location with some great bars and restaurants within walking distance and about a 7 minute drive to I-5 to bring you to Downtown or up to LA. The hotel staff were nothing but friendly and accommodating and the room was a very decent size. Continental breakfast was good. Limited options but a free breakfast is a free breakfast! Hotel hallways were a little dark and could use brighter colors and updated lighting but who spends their vacation in the hallway anyway?

Room tip: There are ice and vending machines near the elevator on all floors and they're a bit noisy. Try and get a room away from the elevator, preferably with at least a partial view of the beach.

Thank you for the review! We are very happy to hear you enjoyed our amenities and location. You're absolutely correct - we are centrally located not only in Pacific Beach, but also for drives to greater San Diego. We also want to thank you for the feedback regarding the lights in the hallway - you'll be happy to know that we've already began the process of looking for replacements! Thanks again, we hope to see you soon.

I was looking on Booking.com for about two weeks before choosing this hotel for my girlfriend and I. I am so glad I choose this one. Once we arrived check-in was simple and the hotel staff was accommodating allowing for an early check-in. After getting the room I was informed that it had been upgraded complimentary which offered a partial beach front. The view was outstanding, away far enough from the boardwalk but close enough to hear the waves and feel the sun. Only downfall was that another guest decided to ignore the non-smoking policy but a swift fee to their room quickly shut that down. They are really good at staying on top of the non-smoking policy which I enjoyed. We did not try the breakfast but The Firehouse was right next door which was a very good place for anytime food and since we have no children we did not look for children's activities. Check out was as easy as check-in and the staff was still as curious as they were when I got in. Amazing place and the hotel just was the cherry on top. Anyone looking to stay somewhere in Pacific Beach, This is the hotel you want!

Room tip: Partial beach front rooms are quieter than full because they are away from the boardwalk.

We decided on a whim to travel to San Diego for our winter vacation. We chose the Ocean Park Inn after reading the reviews on trip advisor . We were not one bit disappointed with our decision. The entire property inside and out was kept very clean. The rooms were very nice. The beds were very comfortable. And the view is priceless. Falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the ocean is so peaceful. You could not ask for a better location. The staff was very accommodating, all of them. Patrick and Sachen were so helpful with tips on where to eat, things to do, etc. Absolutely loved them both. My husband became ill during our vacation and they always asked if he was feeling better or if there was anything they could do. We will definitely be back!

Thank you for such a wonderful review! Our housekeeping, houseman, and maintenance staffs work nonstop to ensure the property is clean and functional, and our guest service agents are well versed in the local restaurants and attractions. We're so happy you enjoyed your trip out to the west coast (although I think we were all a bit worried about your husband!), and that our staff members made the trip that much more enjoyable. We look forward to seeing you next time!

We stayed for 5 nights and had chosen it because of the location and reviews here. We were not disappointed. I can't add much except to endorse the many positive comments already made and to give a special mention to Patrick on the front desk who was always welcoming, interested and informative throughout our stay. If we have a minor criticism, the bathroom is looking a bit dated and could do with a refresh but this did not detratct form the overall quality of our stay. Noise was not a problem although we were there at a quieter time of year. We would recommend and definitely stay again.

Room tip: Room 313 is not an ocean front room and therefore cheaper but still has a full ocean view to the front

Thank you for the positive recommendation! We are truly thrilled that your stay with us lived up to its expectations. Our guest service agents work very hard to add that personal touch to each guest's stay, so we're happy to hear Patrick was able to do that for you. Thank you for staying with us, we hope to see you again!

Perhaps it was the location of our room, but the night club located right next to the hotel brought in a very loud rock band that played until 1:30 in the morning which unfortunately kept us up until then. We were in the 1 bedroom partial ocean view suite - and management told us if we had an oceanfront room we most likely would not have heard the noise from the night club. But their 1 bedroom suites are not ocean-front which therefore meant we were closer to the club next door. The hotel staff was very apologetic for our experience with the loud noise and we agree the night club next door to them is completely out of their control, but we would have appreciated the warning of what kind of night to expect at the time of making our reservation, especially since we are paying good money for our stay. Future guests should definitely be made aware of the Friday and Saturday night live music that will be loud and therefore they should consider that when making their reservation as to whether this hotel is right for them and/or be sure to get a room as far away as possible from the night club.

Room tip: Stay away from the rooms near the night club!

To begin, I would like to thank you for taking the time to provide us with your comments. Feedback like yours is extremely valuable to us, as our only goal is to provide a fun, relaxing vacation in San Diego!

To directly respond to your comment: You did not receive any noise warning regarding the restaurant nearby because the restaurant noise has not been an issue for quite some time. In the last year or so, we have successfully created an open dialogue with their management in addition to implementing multiple procedures to ensure noise levels stay at acceptable levels. Further, we have installed sound-reducing windows in the areas of the hotel directly affected. We have been able to cut our noise complaints to almost nil. Upon receiving your complaint, we again met with them and the situation has been rectified.

On behalf of both our property and the restaurant, I apologize for the inconvenience. We do hope you were able to enjoy the rest of the weekend you spent in Pacific Beach. Thank you again!
