“Resort needs a little tender loving care.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2012

We, including two teenagers and a 9 year old, spent the weekend at this family resort. At first glance, compared to the other hotel's on Hotel Circle, we were quite impressed by the grounds. It is a rather large property, with a pool, restaurant, bar/lounge and market. The grounds are clean and well kept. The rooms are a decent size, with a balcony view but are rather outdated with an old, musty smell. The king bed was comfy especially since we managed to fit our two teenagers alongside us. The restaurant food was rather bland but the service provided by Nancy was exceptional. If looking for a quick place to stay, this resort is cheap and worth the money.

Had to ask for washcloths, TV didn't work. Was afraid if I sat in the chair it would collapse.
Uncovered electrical outlets, etc. Place is right on I-8; traffic noise necessitated sleeping pills
in order to get any rest. Shower curtain rod was rusted and about ready to fall off and there were rust stains in the little tub/shower. I've stayed in older hotels that were in better shape than this!
Oh, & I didn't see any continental breakfast.

TERRIBLE! This is all that I can say! I checked in and checked out the next morning 10/29/2012! An dwent to a budget hotel three doors down wich I wont mention here as this is not a review for that hotel. When I checked in to the hotel on Sunday, it was empty and the clerk said that there was only smoking rooms available, the room was stinking of stale smoke. The comforter was stained, the carpet was not vacuumed, there were holes in the wall above the bed, like there was a larger picture there before and nobody bothered to plaster or paint over the old holes (they were about a quarter of an inch in diameter). The blanket had holes in it, the furniture was scrapped and dented, the ceiling was black (looks like it has never been painted) The door did not close tightly, the TV had no reception and was old syle tube type, this IS NO RESORT!!!!!!! Its a dump! There may be better rooms but not where I was in room 71? (last number left out on purpose but it between 1 and 5). For the same $ you can get 100% better at the Days Hotel, Comfort Inn, Quality Inn, or Best Western, all of which are right down the street.

Room Tip: Stay elsewhere! This place should be condemned!

We got a deal for 2 nights here for a great price, and decided to stay. Please don't be fooled by the name, it's not a resort by any means, the rooms and property were clean, but a bit worn and dated & the shower head height would've been perfect, if I were 4 feet tall. Overall..on a budget, it was ok, but probably wouldn't stay again.

Chris Sua, front desk staff, couldn't have been more helpful and we so appreciated his helpful demeaner and professionalism. Chris is one reason to stay at this hotel, our room was comfortable but the property is due for an update. The grounds are beautiful but in order to compete in the San Diego market, the rooms should be upgraded.

Beautiful property, that has seen better days. The rooms comfortable but old and needing an upgrade. The restaurant,Bar, and Mini market were all well run. Customer service was excellent. A pitty it was needed. Not expensive,Clean , but well worn.

Room Tip: 500 series of rooms are furthest from the hiway noise.
