I stayed two nights during the week for a conference. They have very nice conference facilities there, easy to find your way around, all on one level.
The rooms are typical of this type of hotel. The service was excellent. They have a great gift shop and the bar is cozy.

Hotel was great. Marriott standards throughout. Lobby bar service was prompt and courteous. Check in was easy and parking was ample (albeit $18 a night.) Proximity to two local shopping centers has access to mostly national chain food options but a few local chains as well.

Fairly close to airport.

I love the customer service of this hotel. I tried to check in about 4pm, but the room was not ready yet because they claimed the washing machine was down. They offered free appetizers and drinks in their restaurant for 4 of us just to relax and wait for the room to be ready. The room itself was a little outdated but acceptable, the view from balcony is amazing. The lounge isn't open most of the time, and the breakfast didn't offer much option for the executive lounge. They did offer free breakfast for 4 of us for their restaurant buffet, was far superior. As a gold member, should only allow me plus one more person, but they offered 4 free breakfast which went above and beyond my expectation. Even though the room wasn't ready when I checked in and no upgrade for gold member, I was still happy that I picked this hotel and will stay here again if I am in the area.

We spent 3 nights at the San Diego Marriott Mission Valley and were completely satisfied. Everyone on the staff is friendly and accommodating. We opted for the breakfast plan when we made the reservations. The breakfast had a great selection of dishes: made to order omelettes, waffles, bacon, sausage, eggs, potatoes, fruit, cereal and the list goes on. Our waiter, Jorge was the best. The location was even better than I had hoped. Only 15 to 20 minute drive to downtown and about 20 minutes to La Jolla - perfect for us.
Valet service was prompt and friendly.
If we visit San Diego again, I would definitely stay here.

I definitely recommend this hotel

Pros: The rooms are nice and clean. Staff is great. Located in good area. Only 15 minutes from gaslamp where my convention was and Uber was only $13 - definitely worth the savings in room rate to stay farther out. Valet was extremely friendly and helpful.

Cons: nothing to sanitize fitness center equipment and extremely limited equipment. Only one regular and one decaf coffee package in room. Usually there are two regulars. I'm sure it's because they sell Starbucks in the lobby. Concierge lounge was tiny and breakfast food was cold.

Loved San Diego and loved this hotel. The cleaning people were extremely friendly as well as the staff. I thought the daily parking was expensive. But we did not have to be concerned about our car or being in a high crime area. We felt safe the entire time and the trolley was just steps from the hotel. Great location.

Room Tip: Be prepared to pay for parking - pricey.

I have 1 complaint and that is the twin pull out sofa was a springy uncomfortable mess. Other then that it was an A+. The beyond continental breakfast was the best I've ever had. The room was nice and a very comfy bed. The lobby and bar area were great also. Definitely will be back if I can.
