I am a regular at this location. I stay for 12 days and nights, five to six times a year. When I check in the front desk staff addresses me by name. They are always courteous and professional. The rooms here are excellent. The housekeeping staff is professional and attentive to any special needs. The breakfast fare is excellent and the staff is capable and quite friendly. The managers reception is a nice benefit and the staff, as usual, is quite friendly. Being a two week resident, I appreciate the free laundry on several floors of the hotel. It allows me to pack light if I choose, and do my laundry conveniently near my guest room. The restaurant staff is very friendly and ready to see that your food and service meets the high standards that have come to be known worldwide with Embassy Suites. The staff that takes care of my conference needs are the best. They check in daily to ensure all my needs are met. Relating to the indoor property, my wife once said, "this is one hotel where if it were raining all day you would not be disappointed being trapped inside". If you have ever been to an embassy suites, you know exactly what we mean. The location of the property is perfect with top name dining within walking distance, one of the largest malls across the street and the beautiful beaches of San Diego minutes drive west. With all of the upgrades in rooms, and public meeting areas going on in 2007, I can't imaging a more ideal property for the family, business person, or group event. I feel spoiled having my conferences here and hope my organization continues it's long relationship with this property.

As a frequent business traveler I have never written an "atta boy" for a hotel. In this case I must.

It's the people that make this hotel a great place to stay. I stay here at least 5 times a year for mutiple night stays and hope that I never have to stay at another place while in the San Diego area. Many of the staff have been around for a long time and from the time you rise in the morning, the happy, helpful people that greet you at breakfast seem egar to see that you are pleased, contented and serviced. The front desk people always have a smile and a quick warm greating and they seem to thrive on making it their business making you feel welcome.

The housekeeping department are adept at doing an efficient job and seldom being seen, but when you do it is always with a smile and a warm hello.

I have seen a great improvement in the restaurant staff in the past visits, They have joined the team effort that permiates the rest of the building. The bartender is great and friendly, constantly looking out for the comfort of the customer.

The new look of the rooms is great, first class all the way.

It is so great to have a staff that work so well together at taking care of the needs of the guests. My kuddos to the management staff for creating a great team.

We stayed here with our 4 and 6 year olds as 'home base' for going to Legoland, Sea World, etc. It was a great value for our family. Breakfast was good and exciting for the kids each morning, cocktail hour was exciting for us parents each evening! Kids LOVED feeding the fish in the lobby. We walked across the street to the mall food court for budget friendly dinners and lunches.

Overall a great experience, complaints were not enough to warrant mentioning.

We stayed at the Embassy for 3 nights - and we thoroghly enjoyed ourselves at the hotel! We brought a nanny with us to help with the kids - so the two room set up was great with the pull out sofabed and the absolutely wonderful bed and pillows - I haven't slept that good in years! I am actually going to order the pillows online - same ones - yeah.

The hotel is super clean! The linens, carpet, everything - but it is brand new remodel for the most part - so that is great. The breakfast was excellent - just be advised to get up early - if you arrive at 8:30 for breakfast there is a huge line - so we went down at around 7 and no line for fresh made to order breakfast. The atrium is beautiful and the the koi pond is great to look at - the atmosphere is wonderful too.

We ate at the PF Changs that is right next door so that made for an easy dinner - and that PF Changs is awesome.

The parking costs money - but I didn't mind paying for the convenience of actually having easy parking in the garage.

I will definitely stay at this hotel on my next trip - it's so easy to get to every place we went to on our 4 day stay - and that includes Sea World, Wild Animal Park, Old Town, and Coronado.

And as a plus - the staff there are extremely nice and super helpful - definitely a must for me that and the clean room - so what more could you ask for!!!
