“Ok Hotel Circle Hotel...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2012

Stayed here on a Hotwire reservation, so the price was fine. Easy to find, smooth check-in. I knew there would be parking charge, but it just seems odd for a 2 1/2 star hotel to charge for parking. Room looked nice enough, had a large flat-screen tv, coffee maker and refrigerator. Odd empty spot in one corner of the room, looked like there should have been a recliner or something there. Wifi

Place was swarmed with families, lots of inattentive parents and screeching, over-tired children. Breakfast room was a nightmare, hot and noisy, so I ate quickly and headed back to my room for a bit of quiet before checking out. The hotel even tells you in a laminated sheet to expect a wait for tables if you arrive in last hour of breakfast, so should tell you something!

Probably wouldn't stay here again unless the price was really, really good.

Stayed four nights for our daughter's wedding. Pretty much A+ across the board. Good room, free breakfast with plenty of choices, nice pool area. The staff - from the front desk to housekeeping to the workers who scrambled to keep the breakfast stocked for a full hotel of hungry families - were all friendly and efficient. Only minor quibble was a saggy pullout couch, but our teenage son slept fine on it. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

This hotel is wonderful!! We will be staying here again. The staff is great very prompt for anything asked. Everything was clean. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The pool and spa was clean. The breakfast was awesome!! The size of the room was great we are a family of 5 and had plenty of space. The only things I didn't like is that the fridge wasnt very big and didn't have a freezer, and there was no place to hang your hand towel.

This hotel is close to everything, Sea World, Zoo, Downtown San Diego, etc.
The place is just one in a whole line of hotels but we got a decent price and it really was close to everything. Easy on/easy off the freeway and everything we needed or wanted to visit was within 10 minutes or so.
The hotel isn't fancy although the rooms are modern and very large. The breakfast offered quite a variety so one could really save on breakfast with their family. One thing I *didn't* like is after you go to check in they tell you it's going to cost $8.95/night for parking. You can park right along the curb out front and feel just as secure. We shouldn't have paid for the parking. There's no extra fence, no walls, no gated area, you can park within 10 feet of the paid parking lot. I don't know if (because you're staying there) if the parking is mandatory or not but trust me, it's nothing special.
Otherwise, the front desk were very helpful to answer our questions and even gave us menus of nearby places to call since we were toooo tired to go out for dinner.
I would stay there again. But I wouldn't pay for parking again. dumb.

Just got back from staying at this hotel and I have to say I had a wonderful experience. All the employees were very helpful, infact when I ask Elena at the front desk when the Padres baseball game started she was able to find the answer for me. The breakfast was outstanding and the room was well supplied with what we needed. I would definitely come back again when I'm in the San Diego area.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that is not facing the freeway.

Stayed here just for one night but thoroughly impressed! The kids suites were fantastic! Makes room look a little smaller but that is only because it was divided. LOVED IT! The continental breakfast was above and beyond what was expected. There is a charge for parking at this hotel which stops it from being fantastic but it wouldn't stop me from booking and I would gladly pay it. Really pushing for more places to offer kids suites.

Room Tip: If you are a family with 2 to 3 kids, get the kids suite! Totally worth it. Gives you Parent Spac...
