We decided, on the recommendation of a friend, to try C Level on Harbor Island across from the San Diego Airport. We arrived a few minutes before 11:30 for an early lunch and a line had already begun to form. When the doors opened promptly at 11:30 we were met by one of a gaggle of hosts who asked us if we preferred inside or outside dining. We selected inside and were promptly seated at a window that offered a panoramic view if the Bay, Coronado Bridge and Island, and the flight path of arriving planes. The view could not have been more awesome.
Our waiter, Bill took our drink order then explained the menu and specials. We opted to begin with cae cakes which were not only delicious but whose presentation included a delicious dip. Patti ordered warm baby spinach salad with blackened shrimp and I chose skirts on fire salad, beef work plenty of greens, avocado, and extra endemame. Both were full servings and filling, not to mention delicious. But wait, there's more!
Bill brought the desert me u which I was about to decline until he pointed out the Potted Brownie Banana Split, which consisted of homemade peanut butter ice cream over a warm brownie with butterscotch, fudge, and brûlée ed bananas. Scrumptious!
We enjoyed the lunch, the ambiance, and the view for early two hours and at no time did we feel rushed or that they needed to turn our table, even though as we left we saw there were several people waiting to be seated.
The only faux pas I noticed was at a nearby table when the diners had finished their appetizers the bus person took their plates away but removed the dirty forks and left them for the next course rather than replacing them with clean ones.
This was a superb first time visit and I well return.
