“Average but interesting”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2013

Wide selection of margaritas. Located in Old Town, a tourist area. Discussion with the locals indicated this was one of the better places. Ample serving sizes. Multiple choices for entrees, with interesting combinations. The ladies making tortillas out front are a nice touch of authenticity. Service was prompt, efficient and unintrusive.

“Just another spot in Old Town”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2013

Wandered into this place while trying to find Casa Guadalajara, man I wish I would have found it. Cafe Coyote does have a nice outdoor seating area as well as indoor, but most places in Old Town have the same. The food was average and the service the same. It was probably the worst magarita I had all week while in town. Come on, your a Mexican joint, that should be your bread and butter.

“nothing special but ok for local quick bite”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2013 via mobile

Their margaritas are huge but taste a little funny. for the size, i dont think there was much kick so paying for alot of lime juice. the chips & salsa are good, guacamole is average. nothing special. Same with the food. Average tex-mex type food. The decor was nice and festive however and that made it a little fun. There were two guys playing guitar at our tables as well. There is a little outdoor shopping area connected to the restaurant but small. there you can get ice cream and candy and see some other small local shops.

“Great spot in Old Town”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 11, 2013

Extensive tequila list, great margaritas (not too sweet like some other places), tortillas made fresh right in front of the patrons, and good Mexican food. Service was great, food was fresh, and the 2 ladies making the flour tortillas added to its overall authenticity. I'll be back!

“Best mexican in old town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 11, 2013 via mobile

I have been here numerous times. First time was because the place next door had over an hour wait, coyote only 15 minutes. The servers are always super friendly and accomodating. They have a gluten free menu and are good with substitutions or picky eaters. Chicken fajitas with freshly made tortillas are great. Enchiladas and burritos too. Their chips and salsa are delicious and never ending. And margaritas - huge!!! Take the trolley there and back to truly enjoy yourself!!
