it was very emotional to see all the graves of soldiers. rows and rows of grave s from 2 world wars and other conflicts.

“Inspirational!”

A must see for every American. These men and women gave their lives for our freedom. It was a beautiful location and they were actually having a service for a fallen hero and it was emotional to see them fold the flag! Worth the trip!

Incredible view on San Diego downtown and Coronado.
The memorial itself is also very impressive. Endless rows of tombstones as often seen in movies.
When you are in San Diego, definitely take one hour to go there (15min drive from downtown, 30min stay and 15min back)!

There are thousands of head stones lined up perfectly. Beautiful area gives respect to soldiers that deserve it. A must see.

“a moving experience”

It is well worth a stop off here at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery (a California Historic Landmark) either on the way or returning from Point Loma.

The area covered is vast - just so many rows and rows of white stones in perfect formation. It is a very moving experience yet it also feels so tranquil. There are some benches to sit on to gather your own thoughts or to admire the beautiful views over the Pacific or the bay of San Diego.
