“Morning on Board”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2012

Spent a pleasant, worthwhile and interesting morning on board Midway. Very impressed with the organisation of the tour and found the audio information very helpful. It was also good to hear from those who had served on board.

“Must see”

If you end up in San Diego, this is something you have to go and check out. Fee is app $18 but for people like me who admire human achievements regardless, it was worth it.

“Stellar volunteers on board”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2012

The docents aboard ship are all friendly, talented and enthusiastic men and women who provide a great tour and discussions about the ship. They were great with my family member, an active sailor and provided many handshakes and pats on the back with thank you's for your current service. What a great experience!

“Awe inspiring”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2012

We toured the ship in October and were taked aback by all the veterens who volunteer their time to tell their stories. The flight deck is an amazing place to be. to see the may aircraft that took-off and landed in that tiny space in that great big ocean! All that going on "up top" and then somebody down below is fixing dinner and washing and ironing uniforms. someone else is mopping floors and another guy is fixing all of their teeth, and yet another attends their medical needs. It truly was a small city as sea.

“Simply AWESOME. Why did I wait so long? Don't miss this.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2012

Spectacular, large, enormous, overwhelming, incredible, fascinating... need I say more? ALL of the docents are knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, and courteous. I accidently left my cell phone on a bench, and went below decks... then remembered it... ARGH! As I tried to find my way back to the hangar deck (not easy, when panicking), I tried to calm myself (also not easy). I went to the bench and asked some folks, and they pointed to the nearby docents... who had just recovered it and were waiting there for the phones' owner to return and claim it... I was SO relieved. The food at the "Fantail Cafe" was very fresh and good. We spent 4.5 hours, and did not cover it all... don't miss the tower tour... wow. I can't say enough about this tour... make it a priority to visit during your trip to SD.
