“You're in good hands every minute."”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2012

The Winesellar is hidden in a Sorrento Valley industrial complex, but once you step into the wine store downstairs from the restaurant, you forget all about the external world. Wines of every country, style, price point and vintage line the walls and fill the bins. The restaurant is a top zagat rated French restaurant. We enjoyed perfectly prepared grilled halibut on a bed of caramelized leeks and roasted new potatoes, pheasant medallions, garden-to-table greens, and delicious bread. We had purchased a couple bottles of wine downstairs and had them opened for our dinner. The lemon tart for dessert was outstanding. The atmosphere is lovely without being stuffy. Music is low, diners are quiet (except us), and service is impeccable.

“Great food, amazing wine selection”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2012

My family and I have dined at the WineSellar and Brasserie on several occasions and we keep going back to celebrate special occasions. Chef Albert and his crew go out of their way to present wonderful menu items with service that is first rate. On this occasion, we indulged in the chefs menu selections that were inventive, wonderfully tasty and matched perfectly by wine selections made by the sommelier. We were very impressed by the quality of the food, excellent wine selections and phenomenal service we experienced at the WineSellar!

“Exquisite Cuisine and superb Wine Selection”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 25, 2011

Hidden away in a business park and a little bit of a challenge to find, the excellent fare served makes it worth to find this place. An extensive, somewhat pricey menu offers something for everyone, and wine tastings of six glasses at $45 are a popular, regular event. Located upstairs above the WineSellar, the absence of a lift other than a freight elevator could be seen as a draw-back by some. All in all, this restaurant is one of the better French restaurants in town.

Although a little expensive, we had a very nice tasting of six wines and a delicious lunch on a Saturday.

“One of the best restaurants in San Diego”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 13, 2011

The WineSellar & Brasserie is a real find. It's tucked away in an industrial complex but it's worth searching for. They have a retail wine shop that carries some of the best wines in the world. The restaurant is upstairs. It is small, cozy, and romantic. The food is amazing and with the wonderful wine pairings, what more could you want? We would recommend the restaurant and will certainly go back when we visit San Diego.
