Being of Spanish descent and having lived in Spain, I consider myself a good judge of Spanish cuisine. Tapa Picasso is in my neighborhood, and I was hopeful it would be good enough to be in my regular restaurant rotation. I was sorely disappointed by everything that I tried- the clams in sherry sauce, pan con tomate, the patatas bravas. The "tidbits on toothpicks" where especially inedible. It sounded like a platter of samples of patatas bravas, manzanilla olives, grilled shrimp and sausage. Instead, it was an item seemingly dreamed up by a third grader of ALL of these components on a single toothpick. The patatas bravas were the worst I have ever had- how can you screw up roasted potatoes and romesco sauce? by omitting the romesco and drowning the potatoes in ketchup, then baking until not crisp. When the waiter saw how little we had consumed of our meal, and I expressed my disappointment, he did nothing to ameliorate the situation. We paid $60 for weak sangria and 3 plates of pitiful tapas. Please do yourself a favor and DON'T GO.
