El Biz is the place if you are looking for a rustic or old world feel. The ambiance is very romantic. The setting is elegant. The servers are in black tie. Soft, live piano and bass playing in the background. The service is impeccable and formal, but not pretentious. If you don’t know, just ask. You won’t be made to feel inadequate. The oysters are as delicate and fresh as they come. The fish is tender, flaky and delicious. The scallops are superbly cooked. The food is French-American and the portions fall more on the American than French. You’ll probably be full by desert, but be sure to save room for the chocolate soufflé. Don’t forget to order it ahead of time. You’ll be thanking me once they bring it out, make a small hole in the top, pour in the crème fresche and you take that first luscious mouthful. This is the place to take the one you are in love with or the place that will put you on the path to falling in love.
