If you are looking for the best steak house in San Deigo look no further. You must go to Donovan’s. First of the all the service is exemplary and the staff is always at your beck and call. They are all extremely knowledgeable about all of the fine details that go into every dish. Quite possibly the best and hardest to come by dish on the menu is the Prime Rib. It is only served on Friday evening until they sell out of it. Every Friday it sells out by 7:30pm so get there early if you want to try some of this fine delicacy. This is not your run of the mill Prime Rib you have a Christmas or at some buffet. This Prime Rib is dry aged and will melt in your mouth. They call it the Flintstones cut because it is a double bone cut that barley fits on the huge plates. At the very least ask your waiter about this fine cut. Donavan’s also has a enormous wine selection from all over the world and a fantastic sommelier named Drew who’s knowledge of fine wines is unsurpassed at any of the five star restaurants I have been to.
